Carragher heaped praise on Alex Scott, suggesting that Andoni Iraola could leverage his connections at AFC Bournemouth to sign the highly-rated midfielder.
Speaking to Sky Sports before the match, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher commented on Scott: "I think he's a really good player."
"There were a lot of teams after him in the summer. And when you have a manager like Iraola who used to manage at AFC Bournemouth, you can't help but wonder if that connection could lead to a few players moving to Liverpool."
"I also think Ryan Christie was outstanding last season. His goal in midweek was huge for him, especially since he wasn't at his best at the start of the season."
