In the fourth round of the UEFA Champions League group stage, Manchester United hosted Roma at Old Trafford. United fell two goals behind in the first half. After the break, Bruno Fernandes scored from the penalty spot to pull one back, and Matheus Cunha then scored twice in three minutes before being sent off for a second yellow card. United came from behind to beat Roma 3-2 at home. After the match, United manager Michael Carrick spoke to TNT Sports Mexico.
Michael, thank you very much for your time. Congratulations on a great victory and a fantastic comeback. How do you feel right now? What are your emotions?
Yes, I'm really proud of the players and the fans. In the end, it was a very good night for us. The players showed strength and resilience in difficult circumstances. We were 2-0 down at home, and given our recent results, they still found a way to win the game. They deserve a lot of credit for that.
Matheus Cunha celebrated enthusiastically with the fans after scoring. How important is he to the team overall?
Yes, he played very well tonight. I thought he was good away at Chelsea at the weekend too, showing his quality at times. He showed it again tonight, which is obviously very important for us.
You have another important match this weekend, facing Aston Villa here again. How do you feel about the upcoming match?
Obviously, we feel good about tonight's performance and the result. We have a few days to rest, recover and prepare, because it's another important game for us.

It's been a long time since I seen Old Trafford like that last night, despite going 2 down I enjoyed myself, the protests, tennis balls on the pitch, it was all crazy, then the 2nd half something switched with the players, they were energetic, the crowd bounced off it, they were fighting for every ball, still not perfect but there was a will to win that game and we did get a much needed win. Cunha booting the ball into the crowd, Bruno booting the ball into the crowd, it felt like the players were letting their own anger out and I hope it was anger with themselves to realise they have been pathetic all season. Shae Lacey is a little baller, I think it's time he gets some more game time, the lad was emotional when the 3rd goal went in. But let's not be fooled, I have zero trust with that lot, if anything I woke up today feeling abit cheated, if they can perform like that in the 2nd half then they can do it any game, they choose not too, it's embarrassing. They have to beat Villa Sunday this can't be a little one off, go to Anfield and get some sort of result, go and beat Brentford the week after, do I think they will? Probably not, I expect them to let the fans down again, but we've seen it now, go and win some fucking games ๐๐พ๐ช
