Casemiro grabs Will Hughes by the throat and is shown a red card

Casemiro will miss three matches of Manchester United's crucial Premier League campaign after being sent off against Crystal Palace for putting his hands around the throat of an opponent.

The defensive midfielder was dismissed for his actions against Eagles player Will Hughes during a bust-up on the pitch in the 70th minute of the match.

However, the suspension means that he will return in time for the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United at the end of the month.

Instead, Man United's next three matches include back-to-back games against Leeds United, before a domestic game at home to Leicester City sandwiched between their Europa League ties.
