According to the latest information from journalist Samuel Luckhurst, Casemiro plans to continue playing in Europe after leaving Manchester United this summer, with Italy a possible destination, as Luka Modrić is already at Milan.
The 34-year-old has told close friends that he believes he can still perform at a high level for other clubs across Europe.
United announced last month that midfielder Casemiro will leave the club when his contract expires in June. He had previously been linked with a move to the United States.
Casemiro and his family have spent holidays in Florida, and he also flew to Miami during United’s recent 13-day break.
His wife Anna also visited Las Vegas earlier this month.
However, the Brazil international still owns a property in Madrid, and continuing his career in Europe remains appealing to him.
Sources close to Casemiro have revealed that Italy is one potential landing spot, partly because his former Real Madrid teammate Luka Modrić joined AC Milan earlier this summer.
Modrić, who turned 40 in September, signed a one-year contract with Milan, with an option to extend for a further year.
The upcoming World Cup could be Casemiro’s last major tournament with Brazil. He was recalled to the national team by former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti last year.
Casemiro has started 24 of United’s 29 matches in all competitions this season. Of the five games he did not start, two were suspensions and one was a rest.
The Real Madrid legend has scored five goals this term, four of which came from set pieces.
Casemiro has been a regular starter in United’s midfield since returning to the starting lineup in the Europa League knockout stages last February.
United signed Casemiro from Real Madrid for £70 million in August 2022. The club attempted to find him a buyer in the Saudi Pro League in both 2024 and last winter’s transfer window, but his £350,000 weekly wage proved a major obstacle.

the move won’t make AC Milan stronger, the move brings experience yes but physicality won’t be there. they need give more responsibilities to the younger players pushing them to be more decisive.

The dying of Serie A is in the focus on acquisition of geriatrics and off-loads, without pure talent development.
