France's opener in their World Cup final defeat of Croatia came courtesy of a Mario Mandzukic own goal, but the moment is just one from the game that has been singled out as controversial, with Iker Casillas and Luis Suarez voicing their confusion that it was allowed to stand.
The Porto goalkeeper took to Twitter to share his feelings on the goal, writing: "Honestly, I do not understand the use of VAR very well."
"The referee points to a foul that wasn't on [Antoine] Griezmann, France's goal comes from that action and nothing happens."
Barcelona and Uruguay's star striker quoted the ex-Real Madrid icon's thoughts, adding: "You are right Iker and that [Paul] Pogba offside that 'participates' in the play."

only corrupt players and fans would want VAR to be banished because they hate fair play. they always want to win by cheating.

VAR should be applied in every aspects of the game not only for penalty keep. the two guys are right. France first goal came as a result of error by the ref calling for fault that was fake. Ivan Rakitic shot was reflected by matudi which should have been a corner keep but the ref said goal keep. so where was var at that time ?.

Referee makes mistake either he did not see it clear or a bad decision by using BAR it's help the ref give the right decision. you guys say a lot when the ref makes a mistake you should try to be in their shoe so will know. if you are good then you are otherwise you are not. so stop complaining and enjoy the beautiful game.
