Former Real Madrid forward Antonio Cassano has revealed a humorous anecdote about Ronaldo Nazario during their time together at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
The Brazilian turned the game on its head, after being threatened with being taken off at half-time.
"We were losing 1-0 at home," Cassano told Corriere dello Sport.
"In the dressing room, the coach was going to take off Ronnie to bring on [Ruud] Van Nistelrooy, but he stopped him and said, 'no, you'll take me off in 15 minutes if I haven't scored two goals.'
"Fifteen minutes later: 2-1 and two goals from Ronaldo.
"If I said there's a football God, it's Ronaldo.
"Then I found out that [Lionel] Messi is above him."
