Cesc Fabregas has insisted he is already focused on the future after guiding Como to a historic Champions League qualification at the end of a remarkable Serie A season.

The club’s rise has been impressive after only returning to the Italian topflight in the 2024–25 season following a 22-year absence from the top flight.

Under Fabregas, they secured a solid 10th-place finish in their first campaign before pushing on to achieve continental qualification in just their second year back.

The Spanish coach says his attention has quickly shifted to the demands of competing in Europe.

"Yes, the night after the Cremonese match, we celebrated with the whole team and the staff. On Monday morning, we were already back to work, it's true, because it's the right thing to do,” Fabregas told ComoTV.

“Now everyone will go on vacation, but there is something important for me to manage. We need to raise the level, the organisation, and many other things. It needs to be done right away.”
