A very modern rivalry takes a new twist today as Premier League pacesetters Liverpool play Frank Lampard's home-grown heroes at Chelsea.

Both sides return to action after disappointing results in the Champions League where they lost to Napoli and Valencia respectively, so it promises to be a fascinating match-up at Stamford Bridge.

Jurgen Klopp's side have won their last 15 Premier League games in a run stretching back to last season but they must win if they have any desires on beating Manchester City's record of 19.

Frank Lampard's Chelsea have been inconsistent so far this season but have started finding their feet with Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount the breakout stars.
