Women's Champions League holders Arsenal saw their winning run snapped with a 1-0 loss at Chelsea, but a 3-2 aggregate win nevertheless saw them progress to the semi-finals.
Holding a two-goal advantage from the first leg, Arsenal knew they would guarantee their progression with a draw at Stamford Bridge.
The Gunners, who saw an 11-game winning streak snapped, thought they had gone one better when Stina Blackstenius headed home in the 80th minute, only for the goal to be disallowed for offside.
Blackstenius' disallowed effort came after they had withstood plenty of Chelsea pressure, with Sjoeke Nusken and Alyssa Thompson among those to squander decent opportunities.
Chelsea came on strong after their reprieve, but Veerle Buurman hit the post from point-blank range before Daphne van Domselaar tipped Nusken's header onto the woodwork.
The frame of the goal denied Beth Mead a settler at the other end, and Nusken finally broke Arsenal's resolve with a thunderous finish in stoppage time, but it was too little, too late for the Blues, who saw boss Sonia Bompastor sent off in the dying stages.
Data Debrief: Arsenal march on
Arsenal have now progressed from each of their last 14 Champions League two-legged knockout ties after winning the first leg, a run that dates all the way back to the 2008-09 season.
Only Lyon (13, as it stands) have reached the last four in this competition on more occasions than the Gunners (nine).
They rode their luck at times, though Arsenal actually finished with more shots (22 to 16).
However, Chelsea created the better chances, as suggested by the Blues' 2.52 expected goals to the Gunners' 1.81.
