Daniel Sturridge earned Liverpool a last-gasp point at Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday, his 89th minute strike cancelling out Eden Hazard's fine first-half finish.
Chelsea went ahead in the 25th minute when Mateo Kovacic sent a perfectly weighted ball from Chelsea's half into the path of Hazard and the Belgian shot neatly past the left hand of diving goalkeeper Alisson into the bottom corner.
Both sides had a chances in a high tempo game and it looked like Chelsea would end Liverpool's 100 percent record in the league until former Chelsea striker Sturridge curled a stunning left-foot shot into the top corner.
CHELSEA 4-3-3
Kepa 7
Came out just on top in the battle of the two mega-expensive goalkeepers. Despite not having much to do he made one wonderful low save from Mane midway through the second half.
Cesar Azpilicueta 6
A reliable right-back's performance from the Chelsea captain, who organised his back line with increasing confidence as the match progressed.
David Luiz 6
Some early mis-placed passes did little for his confidence nor of those around him as they allowed Liverpool to settle quickly into their attacking game. Improved as the match wore on.
Toni Rudiger 7
Brilliant pace and awareness to clear off the line from Salah and an otherwise very assured performance from the big central defender.
Marcos Alonso 6
Liverpool's relentless attacking intent made it hard for the Spain man to show off his customary skills going forward. A solid defensive display was what was required, however, and he did not disappoint.
Mateo Kovacic 7
Has settled in so well to this Chelsea side that it seems he has been a part of this midfield for many years. A look at the calibre of player he is keeping on the bench shows how highly Sarri rates him.
N'Golo Kante 7
Chelsea's invisible shield not only did his usual role of keeping possession and breaking up play, but also showed his versatility and new found desire to get forward and involved in attacks too.
Jorginho 6
A solid display from the lean Brazilian, who has also adapted so quickly to Premier League football that he seems a natural to succeed here.
Willian 7
Ran himself in to the ground for his team's cause and presented Liverpool with a host of problems when he ran at pace with the ball at his feet.
Olivier Giroud 6.5
Some delightful turns, touches and lay-offs showed why he was preferred to Alvaro Morata in Sarri's starting line-up.
Eden Hazard 8
It has been reported he could be fitter, but it is hard to see how he could be much better. Showed once again why he is one of the best players in the world today with a superb goal which would have been beyond the ability of most of his peers.
Substitutes
Alvaro Morata (for Giroud 65 mins) 5
Time to make an impact but struggled to get up to pace with the match. One really poor header.
Victor Moses (for William 73 mins) 6
Injected a whole new threat down the right side and drew a free-kick from Milner which presented Chelsea with a chance to double their lead.
Ross Barkley (for Kovacic 81 mins) 6
Slotted in seamlessly and made one great long range pass to Moses.
Manager Maurizio Sarri 7
The Italian seems to have found a winning team and formula. Making brave selection decisions and Chelsea are a better team to watch than they have been for a while. 7
LIVERPOOL 4-3-3
Alisson 6
Quick and brave off his line to deny Willian in a crucial first half save, it looked at first sight like he could have done more with Hazard's 23rd minute goal. Made a great stop in second half to redeem himself.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 5.5
Had the in-form Hazard to contain which meant the right-back could not get forward as much as he wanted, but was stranded along with the rest of his defensive team-mates when the Belgium maestro broke clear to break the deadlock.
Virgil Van Dijk 7
So calm and assured on his return considering he must have been playing through the pain barrier of a rib injury which meant he was unable to train properly all week.
Joseph Gomez 6.5
A very promising start gave away to a few less certain moments for the central defender and he was found wanting when Hazard bust clear to score. Made a brilliant covering tackle when Chelsea seemed certain to score again in the second half.
Andrew Robertson 6
Coped well when Hazard switched to his side of the pitch and once again showed that he he is comfortable playing at this standard. And it was a high level match too.
Jordan Henderson 5.5
A motivator and such as committed competitor, but he failed to match those attributes with the same impact on the ball. His passing seemed to frustrate Klopp on the sidelines too.
Georginio Wijnaldum 6
Emerging as an important member of the Liverpool midfield this season, stuck to his task playing to the right of Henderson. Made one howler towards the end.
James Milner 6
A tidy, tireless match in midfield from the evergreen utility man, who made some great runs off the ball too but they largely went unnoticed by his team-mates.
Mo Salah 5
Looked like it was not going to be his day when he failed to make the best of four decent openings on the first 30 minutes. His passing and decision making suggested the Egyptian is suffering from some form of hangover from his brilliant goalscoring run last season. His early substitution told it all.
Roberto Firmino 5.5
Full of effort and willing but a quiet game by his standards. Had one notable chance in the air but could not find the back of the net.
Sadio Mane 6
The Senegalese striker struggled to get into the game and his frustration was betrayed when he was booked for a desperate late foul on Hazard to cynically halt a Chelsea fast break attack. Had one very good shot denied by a great save.
Substitutes
Xherdan Shaqiri (for Salah 66mins) 6
Sent on to salvage something for Liverpool, but fluffed his lines when he missed an open goal.
Naby Keita (for Henderson 78 mins) 6
Made an immediate impact with his desire to get the ball and himself forward.
Daniel Sturridge (for Milner 86 mins) 7
What a substitution and what a goal!
Manager Jurgen Klopp 7
Did little wrong in terms of his tactics or line-up and can take heart from the fact his side never gave up and got what they deserved from a hardly fought battle.
Referee: Andre Marriner 6
Looked bewildered by the pace of the game at times, but got most of the big decisions right.

He said he is not in competition with anyone, and has no plans setting for himself goals target. All that matters is the team winning match after match. This tells you he is a team player and not selfish

Morata did fine. He pressed well and created a golden chance for Moses who miscontrolled it.
