Chelsea lost N'Golo Kante and Callum Hudson-Odoi to injury as they missed an opportunity to go third in the Premier League in an entertaining 2-2 draw against Burnley at Stamford Bridge.
Maurizio Sarri's men were hoping to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in their previous top-flight outing but they dropped points once again and could be facing key games against Manchester United and Eintracht Frankfurt without Kante.
Burnley – still yet to confirm their survival – went ahead through Jeff Hendrick early on, and although Kante and Gonzalo Higuain saw Chelsea turn things around in the space of two minutes, Ashley Barnes pegged them back in an enthralling first half.
Chelsea did much of the attacking after the interval but Sarri – who was removed from the sidelines in stoppage time – saw his side fail to make the most of top-four rivals Tottenham, Arsenal and United losing at the weekend.

Sarri is the only coach that will remove a striker for another striker when he is in die need of a goal. Towards the end of the match, Burnley were wasting time and were also comfortable with the scoreline. Sarri was supposed to remove Joginho and put Giroud. For me,there is no different between Joginho and Kovacic. Both cannot give you a goal or even make an assist when you need it. But Kovacic would have remained since he can recover balls faster than Joginho but the coach left both of them to play 90 minutes. Mourhino would have done the opposite. This shows why Sarri have not won anything in his career. There are times you take risk to win match for your team.

As long as Jorgihno is playing as in Kante position Chelsea must forget about Champions league football, you can't play Jorgihno and Luiz at the same time bcz Luiz can't defend so he needs Kante's protection, we all know Jorgihno cannot offer that. a very entertaining game it was between the blues and Burnley, the blues really played well even though they missed lot of chances tonight. speedy recovery to Callum Hudson odoi, I hope the injury is not that serious, he's really young with too much potential, I would love to see him back in action. top four position is still up for grabs for the blues, all they need to do is to keep their head up high, work much harder and believe in themselves. play as a unity.

Chelsea needs a new good goal keeper as Kepa has proven to be the worst ever keeper in Roman error. Some may not agree with me but everyone is entitled to his opinion. I don’t think Sarri will take us to the promised land. Monday night was the day he would have moved to the third in the table but what does he do,??? blow it up as he usually does and it is back to the drawing board for Chelsea and back to the hunt for a keeper and a coach for next season probably in the uefa league it he fails to stay where he is.

I think in his understanding , when you get a draw when your competitors have lost its okk yet a draw wasn't deserving but a win .

when we have a team with all its players behind the ball we need to move the ball fast in their D zone and force them to make mistakes a penalty maybe given.we also have a tendency of not rushing foward when we have got possession of the ball.we would wait for the opponents to get into their positions and that is when we want to go forward. that is not correct

Idk what to say. They deserved the draw. We have no ability to penetrate highly compact defensive teams. Rather than take chances, our players are busy playing pass the parcel around the box. The sad thing is, we were the better team yet still looked so average. Idk anymore the only reason I want us to go into UCL is cos of the money and pull of players though without a window it would be useless. In terms of competing UCL and EPL next year, we got 0.5% chance. The worst thing today though wasn't our lack of being clinical but rather the fact that we have been exposed as a team that cannot defend against set pieces. In fact we have probably conceded most our goals via set pieces this season, I think that after right wing and striker, we need to replace the defensive line. Midfield can be sorted between what we have out on loan. Way I see it, we need to get a world class centre back to command the back line. That's what we lack over the top 2 teams in the league where Liverpool have VVD and City have Laporte. We dont have that... new defenders, right winger, new striker are priority...
