BREAKING: Olivier Giroud is nearing a move to Chelsea after the clubs reportedly agree an £18m deal, according to multiple reports.

The two Premier League clubs were locked in talks all day on Tuesday, but a breakthrough has finally been made, with the France international now set to swap The Emirates for Stamford Bridge.
Talks actually broke down around lunchtime with the Blues walking away from negotiations, Arsenal refusing to accept a deal worth an initial £15m with £5m-worth of add-ons.
The move will also see Chelsea let Michy Batshuayi join Borussia Dortmund on loan, allowing them to sanction Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's move to Arsenal.

Man United signed Sanchez, Man City signed Laporte, Arsenal would definitely sign Aubameyang and Chelsea wants to sign Giroud?? that says a lot about Morata

I can only see Arsenal as such a pathetic club. It has to lose more players in order to get one. In summer, it lost Ox, Gabriel, Gibbs and Perez while getting Lacazette and Kolasanic. Now, it loses Walcott, Giroud, Sanchez and Coquelin to get Mkhitaryan, Obameyang and that Greek kid (who is likely to be kept in the academy). It seems having getting new players but losing more existing players, making the team even thinner. Despite its deep coffer, it is only willing to buy new players if financed by selling existing. So pathetic as a big club.

I like this transfer's rotational swaps.. It's kind of a fidget spinner

Auba to Arsenal, Giroud to Chelsea, Batshuayi to Dortmund.. so funny, Every one is tied on replacement.
Well, Goodluck to our scorpion king and head-goals. Hope he will find back his rythm to book a place at Russia

With today's inflated transfer fees how are Arsenal selling an international striker who is first pick for one a the leading teams in this years World Cup for less than £20m?!?!!?!

Fair enough to view it that way. However, Arsenal never wanted to let go of Ox or Sanchez whose qualities are still very useful, but they were not ready to stay, and you have to cash in or lose them for no dime. Good business I'd say. But the same could not be said of Gibbs, Gabriel, Theo, Coquelin or Giroud who at best are not being considered in the first 11. So why bloat up the wage bill if you can get qualities that would surely better the first team. No-brainer for me. It is a World Cup year and many players would be more satisfied where starting berth is more assured than playing second fiddles. All the players should be happier. And you can't say Arsenal are not better off both financially and with the qualities on the pitch. Plus we actually splashed the cash even though we got some cut backs from sales. Good business all the way my friend (And it can be better if we can get one more position bettered; the gaffer's).

although giroud may not seem like he is one of the greatest players, I believe that this price is a little bit too low for him. he should be around 25 mil at least in my opinion! but anyways, these deals will be interesting!! let's see how things turn out!

welcome to the blues Giroud!!!! great bargain at 18 million, he's a great target man and a proven goal scorer and provides good competition for morata, that's a great piece of business done by the chelsea board I'm very pleased to hear this news because Giroud is probably one of the most underrated strikers in world football.
