Chelsea concerned and disappointed about the team’s performances this season. Senior figures at Chelsea have held discussions about Maurizio Sarri’s future, according to Sky Sports.
The Blues are sixth in the table, with chances of finishing inside the top four now diminishing with every passing game. They are yet to face Manchester United and Liverpool away from home.
According to the report, Roman Abramovich met with Marina Granovskaia after the game to discuss Sarri's future, we could well see a new manager at the Chelsea game after the international break.
The most viable path currently for life after Sarri seems Steve Holland, who is part of Gareth Southgate's England setup. He has also worked as a deputy of Andre Villas-Boas, Jose Mourinho, Rafa Benitez and Antonio Conte.
There is very little chance that Laurent Blanc joins Chelsea mid-season, if Sarri gets the sack.

I agreed with you that other managers were sacked for not doing the right things and Sarri does not have plan b. But we have to understand that he needs time to get adjust. The Premier League is though. City gave Pep time to adjust. The players have played together for almost three seasons. That's why makes City strong. I also agreed with you that Kante is not a attacking mid fielder. I would prefer Kante playing deep in mid field than in attack. Because he has the abilities to press and defend. Jorgihno is not perfect in defend. Sarri needs to send him in attack and change his tactics and styles in every game that Chelsea will play. Chelsea set up as a whole is not a conducive environment for progress. We can't keep on blaming the coaches. Even if they swop Sarri and Pep guadiola. Pep will fail and Sarri will prosper with City. When they hired Conte it was a hype because Conte had reached Euro finals with Italy. Same applies to Sarri when he broke the monopoly with Napoli in France by playing entertaining football. Napoli was lethal under Sarri. So this thing of pointing the fingers at the coaches is not the way forward. Look at Barcelona for example everytime when they change the coaching staff they don't go for high profile coach but still their team always deliver.
