Chelsea fans have been left stunned by the shock news that the club have sacked manager Thomas Tuchel.
The Blues confirmed that they had relieved the German boss of his duties on Wednesday morning following the 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League last night.
Tuchel departs after 20 months at the helm but just 100 days into Todd Boehly's ownership. Chelsea are currently sixth in the Premier League table after the first six matches of the season.
'This is madness,' one fan wrote on Twitter. 'Pure madness you spent over 300m to sign players from his list only to sack him.'
'Our fanbase is as fickle as they come,' another added. 'People are actually celebrating this. Thomas Tuchel won the Champions League, dealt with sanctions, his personal relationship with his wife broke down while he focused on guiding us through as best he could. It’s mental.'
'We are a joke club,' a third said.
Former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich earned a reputation for having little patience with managers and it appears that Boehly is taking a similar approach.
'Todd Boehly might even be more dangerous and ruthless than Roman Abramovich,' one fan wrote. 'This guy is on a scary mission.'
'Same old Chelsea, new owners no difference,' another said. 'Disappointment.'

I don’t understand why we should direct this rage towards Boehly, because critically looking at tuchel’s tatics, you’ll realize at time his selection is what brings the team down and this should not come as a surprise to Chelsea fans because this is how our history with coaches has been for a long time. Let’s go back to last season against Liverpool(FA cup final) : we barely survived conceding in open play because he took timo out because that was when the game changed in favor of Liverpool. Then again if we critically study the game against Real Madrid the changed in their favor when he took off timo and brought on pualisic because real are a team that become dangerous in attack when the defenders join in but because of Tomo’s speed the defenders couldn’t join the attack and with Chelsea leading 3-1 at the time the game immediately changed when he took timo off. Likewise a lot of game. So just as Lampard had all the player but didn’t know how to used them and that got him sacked in my opinion it’s same with tuchel. If a good coach comes in he’s going to be very successful with the current crop of players available.
