Liam Rosenior makes a point of staying off social media. But his family have made sure he hasn't missed out on the flood of memes on social media after finding them hilarious.
Increasingly few in football are exempt from meme culture - think the Graham Potter face swap earlier this season - but Rosenior's have been particularly fast to take hold.
The new Chelsea head coach's mannerisms, quotes and even his glasses have become the figure of mostly light-hearted ridicule since he first set foot in Stamford Bridge barely three weeks ago, with comparisons to The Office's David Brent and Will from The Inbetweeners two of the more viral takes.
Speaking as he aims to extend his bright start in west London with a sixth win from seven games against West Ham, live on Sky Sports this Saturday, Rosenior said the jibes were water off a duck's back but that he had spoken to his family about the increased scrutiny of his new job.
"It doesn't affect me because I'm too old by about three or four years, I'm not on social media," he told Sky Sports. "My kids who are all over it and when they see funny pictures of Will from The Inbetweeners, or David Brent, they send it to me and laugh at me. They love it!
"There was one about my dress sense where they said I had decent dress sense - my daughter thought that as hilarious. She hates my dress sense!
"[The scrutiny] does affect your family, I've had conversations with them to just enjoy what's an amazing experience for me and hopefully they can see some really special days to come at this club.
"I don't think about it. If I think about what people are thinking of me or saying in the media or in the press, I can miss out so many things here. There's enough on my plate with the job I've got to do here.
"My motivation is just to make this club as successful as possible and to win the next game. All my energy and time is focused on my players, the team, the way we do the team meetings and the way we train.
"The other stuff is just noise, and I can't affect it anyway - apart from by winning games of football."
Rosenior has made a decent fist of doing that in his opening month in the Premier League and made an important mark in Europe in midweek with a 3-2 win at Napoli, securing Chelsea a top-eight finish in the Champions League league phase and a guaranteed spot in the round of 16 in March.
That victory was underpinned by a half-time tactical tweak after Rosenior's initial change to a back three had backfired, though the head coach felt it was more than a change to the game plan which had inspired their revival.
He said: "When you make a football decision some of it's tactical, 20 per cent, it's the emotional side, 20 per cent, energy 20 per cent, the opposition system 20 per cent, there's so many things that roll into one to make that decision.
"I don't think we were far off in the first half but we didn't take care of the ball, and our energy levels were lower because we were chasing it for a lot longer than I expected.
"People talk about the tactical changes but the resilience of the team, their spirit was the contributing factors to the second-half performance."
What Rosenior couldn't contest was the impact of Joao Pedro in Naples, with the Brazil striker netting a double to take him to four goals from five starts under his new head coach.
The Chelsea boss has attempted to foster an honest - and critical - relationship with the club's top scorer since his arrival as part of a wider open-door policy at the club's Cobham training ground.
"Everyone will speak about Joao because of his performances in the last two games, he was top at Palace and obviously incredible in Naples," Rosenior said.
"We put a lot of time into getting to know the players and what makes them tick. Me and Joao have had some interesting conversations so far.
"A bit of friction at times and a bit of love too. I need them to tell me the truth, I don't mind the players knocking my door down.
"I want to have real conversations, it's not about being best friends. You have to have a degree of vulnerability and strength and Joao has shown that within his performances."
