Chelsea have held talks over a proposed move for Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj.
The Albanian is valued at £45million but has failed to agree terms on a new contract and is keen to link up with former coach Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea could agree the deal in January but allow the 24-year-old to finish the season in Italy.
Lazio have an interest in Davide Zappacosta, who has been used sparingly in the Premier League by Sarri so far this season.
Hysaj is known for his pace and is also capable of making precisely-timed interceptions with regularity.
Sarri is fully aware of Hysaj's quality having managed him at Napoli last season.
Now in his fourth season at Napoli, Hysaj has featured prominently this campaign, making 17 appearances across all competitions, and possesses experience of playing in the Champions League.
Cesar Azpilicueta has been the regular right-back for Chelsea in the Premier League so far this season, meaning Zappacosta, who joined from Torino in 2017, has seen his playing time restricted.
Zappacosta has been involved in Chelsea's Europa League campaign but could be tempted by a return to Italy with Lazio, where he could play more regularly.

When we think about Italy football, defense is the first thing that comes to our mind. Serie A never fails to produce excellent defenders like Bonnuci, Barzagli, Materazzi, Chiellini, Paolo Maldini, and now we have upcoming defenders who are already so good like Romagnoli, Koulibaly, Skriniar, Hysaj etc.....Hope they keep doing it! Add more beauty to the beautiful game⚽[Comeon]

why is Marcos Alonso not in your line up
Outside of goals and set pieces, he's worse than Emerson at everything a full back should do....

Are Napoli players better than the ones Chelsea has? I'm not sure, because the level of Chelsea is way better than Napoli, the first signing of Jorginho hasn't really impressed me, so I'm not really sure, wether he should add more of his counter parts from Napoli.

Hysaj is a good option for right back. Hoepfully that means Azpi can get moved back to CB. I know Luiz had a good perfprmance but I wont be a prisoner of the moment cos long term we know he's gonna make a lot of mistakes and that Azpi is also not going to full fill the attacking qualities of that full back role. This is still the team I'm going for with Hysaj for Zappacosta if we want to compete seriously.... I did say a false 9 would work and that's what happened against City... only I think Pedro would be a better false 9 than Hazard cos he got a better goal threat imo.
