Chelsea are reportedly 'working closely' with the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) over their treatment of Axel Disasi and Raheem Sterling.
The two stars, who the Blues splashed out a combined £85million on, have been frozen out of manager Enzo Maresca's squad after failing to secure moves away from the club this summer.
Having endured a disappointing loan spell at Arsenal last term, Sterling is believed to have turned down advances from both Napoli and Bayern Munich during the transfer window, with the Englishman unwilling to move away from his native London.
There had too been reported interest from West Ham United and Fulham but ultimately nothing materialised.
Disasi meanwhile snubbed approaches from Bournemouth and the Hammers after learning of Monaco's desire to bring him back to the club. The two clubs however failed to reach an agreement over a loan move before the deadline.
Sterling and Disasi have thereby been left stuck at Stamford Bridge until January at the earliest, with the duo training individually away from the first team.
Only this week Sterling offered fans an insight into the grim reality of life in Chelsea's 'bomb squad', sharing an image to Instagram of Cobham's empty training pitches showing the time as 20:21 with the caption 'training' alongside a handshake and cold face emoji.
According to ESPN, Chelsea and the PFA are working together closely to ensure that the two players are able to train properly and maintain their fitness at the club's Cobham training ground.
The duo have too been offered designated coaches to ensure they'll be able to find a move away from the club in January, with their careers at Chelsea all but over.
Enzo Maresca confirmed such in a press conference last week, saying: '‘They are Chelsea players because they have a contract with the club. In this moment, they are still training apart. The idea is to continue in exactly the same way.
‘Since we started the season, I didnt see one of them. I didn't see Renato (Veiga), I didn't see Axel (Disasi), I didn’t see Raheem (Sterling), because they train at a different time on a different pitch. I haven’t seen them since we started the season.’
Asked if there was any way back into the first team for them, Maresca said: ‘With us? No.’
The Blues manager is indeed making decisions from a position of power after what many have seen as a promising start to the season.
His side are unbeaten so far in the Premier League, but suffered their first loss of the season at Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening.
Two goals from Harry Kane and an own goal from Trevoh Chalobah secured the German champions their victory, with Maresca admitting afterwards that Chelsea can 'learn a lot' from the loss.
'This kind of game requires you to play in the right way for 95 minutes - not just for part of the game,' the Italian said.
'I think we did that for part of the game very well, but in some moments, we were not good enough. We can learn many things.
'The Champions League is this kind of game, especially against Bayern, that is one of the favourites. But, I think overall we competed quite well. I think the performance was quite good. We started very well for the first 20 minutes, creating two or three clear chances.
'Then we concede a goal, that we can avoid, and the game changed a little bit.'
His side travel to Manchester to face a struggling United side on Saturday evening.

Stupid human being, did Chelsea complain to you?
Chelsea didn't complain to me but you people always think you can decide another man destiny when Chelsea signed Sterling they know what they were doing the coach probably didn't do his job i play many sports sometimes I don't be informed so I have to play regular to get back into form if a footballer is not playing regular it will happen to him because he will be seeing mistakes other players are making that he can go and try to do better but you or no one else has the right to judge him Sterling signed the contract and he is the one responsible for whatever decision he decides to make i would not leave 30 million dollars and run somewhere else for half of that just to play football I would sue Chelsea because the contract never said he should train by himself in the night that is why I seldom open all football app because everyone believes they have the right to decide a player future that's very stupid

Chelsea is a stupid club let the guys train with the whole squad and give them a 5 or 10 minutes sub on at the end of each game that will get clubs to look at them and make offer but if I was Sterling I would leave if they pay me my 30,000,000 dollars

is Chelsea not paying his wages or what do you mean or it's reported that Chelsea is delaying his wages. he is being paid £330k every week for doing nothing and you think Chelsea do reason to complain. he refused to join all any of the club that have been coming him because of his wage and Chelsea is paying it.... who is being unreasonable here, Chelsea or sterling or do think that football clubs plucks money the road? be reasonable guy

PFA is a jobless association. he turned down all the clubs that came for him because he is in the £330k Chelsea is paying him than playing football. Chelsea is paying wage without complaining so should PFA complain?
