Caicedo twist
Chelsea may have to pay Brighton's asking price if they want to sign Moises Caicedo this summer - but there is a crucial decision to make first before accepting Brighton's demands.
The transfer saga appeared to take a major twist with The Athletic reporting an "unidentified" club lodged an offer for Caicedo earlier this week. Varying speculation has seen Premier League clubs named as the unknown bidder while a Saudi Arabian side have also been suggested, however it looks unlikely to affect Chelsea.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are not worried about any so-called mystery club signing Caicedo this summer, however another fresh claim from the Italian journalist could have Chelsea concerned.
Sanchez confirmed
Chelsea have announced their eleventh summer signing with Robert Sanchez joining from Brighton.
Upon his £25million transfer, the 25-year-old has signed a seven-year contract as he looks set to compete with Kepa Arrizabalaga to be Chelsea's No.1 goalkeeper.
"I started really my career here in England," Sanchez told Chelsea's official website in his first words since signing for the Blues. "Brighton has given and provided me everything I needed as a goalkeeper inside and outside the pitch to get the maximum potential out of me which I'm really happy I have done and thankful. Obviously now it is another bigger challenge and I'm ready for it."
Olise bid tabled as transfer preference revealed
Chelsea have tabled a €30million (£25.9m) offer in the race with Manchester City to sign Michael Olise
According to RMC journalist Fabrice Hawkins, the Blues will put the offer in writing officially once they have more clarity on the injury that has seen him miss all of Crystal Palace's pre-season.
Man City are still interested in signing Olise with the France Under-21 international open to an exit from Selhurst Park with his transfer preference now being revealed.
