Chelsea have told Callum Hudson-Odoi that he won't be leaving the club before the transfer window shuts on Thursday after the Blues reject a £40million bid from Bayern Munich.
Callum Hudson-Odoi has agreed to stay at Chelsea for now after meetings between his representatives and club managing director Marina Granovskaia.
But the 18-year-old is not signing a new contract and is still expected to join Bayern Munich in the summer.
The player submitted a transfer request at the weekend after telling Chelsea that he believed his development would be better served in the Bundesliga.
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has yet to start him in the Premier League.
Hudson-Odoi, who scored in the 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup on Sunday, still believes that Bayern will offer him more opportunities after seeing how Sarri views his development and how other prospects at Chelsea have been hampered in the past.
Chelsea still hope he will sign a new five-year deal worth £80,000 a week but his current contract runs out in the summer of 2020 and with just one year left on his deal, Chelsea will have to accept substantially less than the £35m Bayern have offered this month.

Very smart move there by the Chelsea board. Congratulations! With the huge potential this kid has, i can foresee a bidding war in the summer...I just hope Sarri will play him more often. His confidence will rise and his performances more polished. We saw how Mbappe blossomed with game time at Monaco. I know CHO will do like wise. Come summer if CHO is still determined to move on then he wont be going for the "cheap" £40million but a much much higher figure and highly likely with the buy back clause. Excellent work there Chelsea board. Lest we forget, Chelsea is not desperate for money.

Why are people crying about Hudson Odoi? If he doesn’t want to be here, let him leave, same goes with Hazard, no one is bigger than the club. Just think How Loftus Cheek handed his situation. He didn’t cry and push a move did he? He got down and worked. Odoi’s attitude is bad. chelsea needs players who are 100% committed I will say that he should stay in Chelsea. It is good for the club. Since Hazard is linked with a move to real Madrid they should need Pulisic along with Odoi to make up their team. Hazard's void is large so I think it would not be good for Chelsea. But for Bayern Munich this deal is fantastic and cool. As all football said that Odoi will replace the club legend Robben. He is about to end his career at Bayern Munich. Kovac has made a nice move by targeting this player. Odoi is very fast and uses nice skills and brains on the pitch. He will be a great player in future. I wish all the best for Odoi and is waiting to know about his transfer news.

After all said and done, I have no issues with any club wanting to sign another team's player but I do have a problem with going about it the wrong way. Bayern exhibited a total lack of respect for Chelsea by going through the back door to cajole Hudson Odoi and his family. Even when the club made it very clear that the kid is not for sale, they went public with their relentless pursuit of the kid. I can see why Chelsea wouldn't let go of the kid this winter......just to send a message to Bayern. Hopefully Bayern can learn something and come the right way by summer.
