Chelsea look to offload Bakayoko

Firstly, Chelsea are thought to be close to offloading yet another player this summer, in the form of Tiemoue Bakayoko. The Frenchman has been on loan at both AC Milan and Napoli since his disastrous move from Monaco to west London, and now looks set to rejoin Milan on a one year loan deal.

The deal includes an option (not obligation) to buy, thought to be around 20 million euros (17 million pounds), while Chelsea will extend his contract for another 12 months before he departs.

Chelsea dealt a Zouma scare

Chelsea were thought to be progressing well with a deal to sell Kurt Zouma to West Ham, with a 30 million euro fee having been verbally agreed earlier in the week. However, the deal is now thought to be in potential jepordy after personal terms could not be agreed.

However, as per the Telegraph’s Jason Burt, the deal may still be set to go through, handing Chelsea a much needed funds boost and paving the way for signing his replacement.

Kounde price set

With one Frenchman heading out of the door, another is set to join in the form of Jules Kounde. The Sevilla defender has been the main target for Tuchel’s side all summer, and will add to the exceptional cadre of defenders that the club already have.

Now, as per Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the deal to take Kounde to Stamford Bridge has been agreed for 50 million euros (42 million pounds).

Chelsea will be overjoyed with the fee agreed, with Kounde thought to have a release clause set at 70 million euros, and with this release clause rising over the last two weeks of the window.

Details emerge on Saul Niguez deal

Finally, details of Chelsea’s pursuit of Saul Niguez have been revealed. The Spaniard is out of favour at Atletico Madrid, and is now set to leave the Spanish capital on loan ahead of deadline day.

Now, as per Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are indeed interested in signing Niguez, but only on a loan deal with an option to buy. There would be no obligation to buy the player at the end of his loan deal.
