The 'Blues' host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on 2 January in the Premier League. Here's how to watch on TV and online platforms.
Second placed Chelsea welcome third in the table Liverpool on the Sunday evening Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge and the visitors will be without German coach Jurgen Klopp in the dugout.
Klopp will miss their Premier League clash with Chelsea after returning a suspected positive test for coronavirus with the club confirming on Saturday that Klopp was reporting mild symptoms and is now isolating.
His assistant Pep Lijnders will take charge of the Reds' encounter with Thomas Tuchel's side at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Klopp had previously revealed three positive cases among his squad during his pre-match media conference.
No further positive cases among the playing staff have come about following further testing of the entire first-team set-up. However, three members of Klopp's backroom team have returned positive tests.
Liverpool head into the game 12 points adrift of leaders Manchester City following their late win over Arsenal on Saturday.
Tuchel on Lukaku
Much of Thomas Tuchel's pre-match press conference was dedicated to striker Lukaku's interview with Sky Italia with the German coach puzzled with the Belgian's comments. "We don't like it of course. It brings noise that we don't need and it's not helpful," Tuchel told reporters ahead of Chelsea's match. "But we don't want to make more out of it than it actually is.
"We can take the time to try and understand what is going on because it does not reflect the daily work, attitude and behaviour which Romelu shows here at Cobham. If there is something to discuss it's behind closed doors, for sure."
Tuchel also gave updates on Ben Chilwell, who had surgery this week after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in November, and fellow full back Reece James, who was injured in the midweek clash at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.
"(Chilwell) of course had surgery and has our best wishes. Hope he comes back as soon as possible. Unfortunately it seems like the season is over for him," Tuchel said.
"Reece has a hamstring injury, muscle, with always the examination a bit later. The images are better if we wait. We will know more today."
Tuchel added that Chelsea's struggles with covid-19, injuries and refereeing decisions had hurt morale in the squad.
