Chelsea's Ziyech leaves Wydad Casablanca, "a story not as long as expected"

Casablanca Wydad Club officially announced on Sunday that Moroccan international winger Hakim Ziyech has left the team.

The Moroccan club wrote in a statement posted on Facebook: "This story may not have lasted as long as we hoped, but seeing you in the Wydad jersey will always be a special moment for the club and its fans. Your arrival will become a unique chapter in our team's history."

Ziyech, 32, previously played for Ajax, Chelsea, and Galatasaray, joining Casablanca Wydad in summer 2025. Last season, he made 16 appearances in all competitions, scoring 9 goals.
