Chilwell scores winner on Palace debut, silences Fulham fan's "Chelsea reject" jibe

Chilwell scored the winning goal just days after joining Crystal Palace, and post-match footage showed him celebrating exuberantly while interacting with a fan.

The left-back came on as a substitute and scored within three minutes, helping Crystal Palace to a 3-2 victory.

He ran towards the away fans to celebrate, while Fulham suffered their third consecutive defeat.

Fulham's team was tied for last place after the loss, but that didn't stop a fan from taunting Chilwell.

The Fulham fan shouted at Chilwell as he walked towards the tunnel at Craven Cottage.

He yelled, "Chelsea reject!"

Chilwell immediately responded to the taunt, saying, "Take that L," and made an "L" sign with his hand towards the fan.

The Fulham fan then fell silent, while another person in the background of the video shouted, "Oh!" The video was published by Crystal Palace's official account.

Chilwell joined Chelsea from Leicester in 2020 for a transfer fee of up to £50 million and played for Chelsea for five years.

He won the Champions League with the team, made over 100 appearances, scored 9 goals, and provided 13 assists.

However, he also missed 110 games due to injury, and his Chelsea career waned in 2024, first joining Crystal Palace on loan before officially leaving Stamford Bridge last summer.
