The United States men’s international team playmaker came in as a substitute in Chelsea’s 2-1 victory against Palmeiras in the final.
Chelsea defeated Brazilian side Palmeiras 2-1 (AET) in the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup final and Christian Pulisic became the first player from the United States to win the trophy. The 23-year-old came in the 31st minute of the match replacing Mason Mount, who suffered an injury.
Pulisic made history in the campaign
With his appearance in the final he became the first player from the United States to play in the tournament and win it. He joined goalkeeper Keylor Navas (Real Madrid), Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández (Manchester United) and Rafael Márquez (FC Barcelona) from CONCACAF who made an appearance and won the campaign.
Christian Pulisic is in pole position to win the Most Valuable Player in CONCACAF for his accomplishments with club and national team. Last year the United States international won the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea and the UEFA Nations League with the USMNT.
The 23-year-old has scored three goals and has provided three assists in 20 appearances across all competitions with Chelsea so far this season. Christian Pulisic has also scored three goals for the USMNT in the World Cup qualifying tournament and has his country on the verge of booking their spot to Qatar.

Please where is Mr Alex Lalas who was advising Pulisic to leave Chelsea FC and join a "Big Club"? Tell me, what Club can be bigger than the World Club Champions? Besides, even with very limited input, Pulisic has won the Champions League, Super Cup and now the Club World Cup Trophies (please don't remind me that Lalas never won any of those). Guess Christian Pulisic will be Thanking God he did not listen to Mr Lalas. Congratulations, Captain America! Up Chelsea FC!! Up Blues the World Champions💙⚽🏆💙🏆⚽💙
