  /  autty

After four weeks of thrilling action at the FIFA Club World Cup, just two teams remain as Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea battle it out in Sunday's blockbuster final.

Sunday, July 13th

15:05 CET - Good afternoon and welcome to our live coverage of tonight’s mouthwatering Club World Cup final between European heavyweights PSG and Chelsea!

We’re just under six hours away from kick-off in New Jersey, as both sides look to end the first edition of the revamped tournament with silverware and take their haul of prize money over £90 million.

Luis Enrique's all-conquering PSG are targeting a maiden Club World Cup title on their debut in the competition, while Conference League winners Chelsea are hoping to secure their second crown after winning in 2021.

23:30 CET - Make sure you join us for the final in just a few days. It promises to be a fascinating encounter between favourites PSG and a Chelsea side who are developing into a top team under Enzo Maresca.

Kick-off for the Club World Cup final is at 21:00 CET from New York's MetLife stadium.

Follow our live audio commentary of the final here.

23:02 CET - That would be the final meaningful action, and PSG have done it - they are in the Club World Cup final!

It's another imperious display from a PSG side under Luis Enrique, which is fast becoming one of the best sides of the past few generations. And a side that brings another level for the big occasion. Unstoppable.

Over to you, Chelsea...

Match statsStatsPerform

Meanwhile, Real Madrid's competition ends with a whimper after the Spanish giants were miles off the pace from minute one to minute 90.

A lot of work to do for Xabi Alonso this summer ahead of next season.

Check out the match stats here.

22:58 CET - PSG have added a fourth to complete an utterly dominant and statement victory against a sorry Real Madrid side. Bradley Barcola has been a menace since coming on, and it is the tricky winger who tees up Goncalo Ramos, who shows great composure to turn his man before finding the back of the net.

They will face Chelsea in the final on Sunday.

22:42 CET - After a slightly better spell from Madrid, PSG are back in complete control of possession as Alonso's side struggles to get a touch.

If PSG do go on to win this competition, there will be serious conversations about their ceiling over the next five years - can anyone stop them?

22:26 CET - A slightly improved spell from Real Madrid here as they pin PSG inside their half for the first time tonight. It feels very flat, though, and you can't envisage a comeback as things stand.

Momentum swingsOpta by StatsPerform

22:15 CET - The players are walking back out for the second half. Is there anything Real Madrid can do to save this?

Play is now underway.

22:00 CET - Half-time in New York and surely game over already. PSG are displaying exactly why they are the best team in Europe by exhibiting free-flowing, high-pressing and counter-attacking football, all rolled into one.

Real Madrid look lost at sea, however, and Xabi Alonso has an almost impossible job to motivate his side to produce an unlikely second half comeback.

Chelsea must be watching this and wondering how they can lay a glove on this PSG side?

Match statsStatsPerform

21:36 CET - Wow, that was a beautiful team goal by PSG, played at an extraordinary pace and precision.

A lovely one-two between Dembele and Achraf Hakimi sees PSG break Real's press with ease before Hakimi in typical Hakimi fashion, squares the ball on a plate for Fabian Ruiz, who does the rest for his brace.

Just simply too good.

21:22 CET - What is going on here? PSG are 2-0 up already after another horror error from Real Madrid at the back has handed a second to the Parisians, who are almost out of sight already...

This time, it is the experienced and usually reliable Antonio Rudiger who makes a huge mess of his pass, leaving Dembele in acres of space one-on-one to slot home a composed finish into the bottom left-hand corner.

21:20 CET - Well, it had been coming early on but Real Madrid only have themselves to blame for that one!

A huge mistake from Raul Asencio who takes way too long on the ball is closed down by Ousmane Dembele, who is floored by Courtois, but not before teeing up Fabian Ruiz to tap in. Massive mistake!

21:15 CET - This semi-final has started at a rapid speed, and already Thibaut Courtois has made two huge saves to keep Real Madrid level.

21:12 CET - Kick-off in New York! This should be epic...

21:07 CET - Okay, the teams are out and kick-off is finally approaching!

21:00 CET - Due to New York traffic delaying the team buses, kick-off has been pushed back by 10 minutes. But stay with us as kick-off for this blockbuster is coming soon.

19:50 CET - Just 10 minutes away from kick-off now for this box office semi-final between Europe's elite.

Who are you backing tonight?

19:40 CET - The team sheets are in for this evening's clash, and the big news is that Trent Alexander-Arnold has been ruled out for Real Madrid with Federico Valverde filling in at right-back. Kylian Mbappe starts for Real.

Paris Saint-Germain are without Willian Pacho, who received a red in their last match; Lucas Beraldo comes into the defence.

19:15 CET - We are less than two hours from kick-off between Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in the second semi-final at the Club World Cup!

As you can see below, the experts at Opta have PSG as the favourites this evening, but if we've learnt anything about Los Blancos over the years, it's that they are never out of a contest.

23:05 CET - Chelsea are into the Club World Cup final! In truth, the Blues weren't really tested by Fluminense, and they simply had too much quality as they eased to a 2-0 victory. It has been a great tournament for the Brazilians though to reach this stage.

New signing Joao Pedro - who was making his first start for the club - was absolutely magnificent, bagging a pair of stunning goals to guide his side to victory.

They will take on the winner between PSG and Real Madrid, who face off tomorrow evening.

22:47 CET - With around seven minutes to go, Chelsea are in cruise control. Barring a late miracle, they will be heading to the final on Sunday.

Momentum chartStatsperform

22:20 CET - Joao Pedro has done it again! The Brazilian has bagged his second of the game with an emphatic finish to make it 2-0, and Chelsea are now well on their way to a spot in the final! What a start to life at the Blues for Pedro.

22:09 CET - And we are back underway for the second half!

21:52 CET - It is half time, and Chelsea hold a 1-0 lead against Fluminense thanks to a brilliant goal from Joao Pedro. In truth, they have been relatively comfortable, but the Brazilians grew into the game at the end of the half. Can they find a way back into the contest, or will the Blues book a spot in the final?

Match statsStatsperform

21:39 CET - Fluminense thought they had a way back in this game after being awarded a penalty, but following a VAR check, the decision was overturned by the referee. Still 1-0 after 37 minutes.

21:20 CET - Chelsea have taken an early lead against Fluminense, and it is Joao Pedro with an absolute stunner on his first start for the club! Pedro - who refused to celebrate against his former team - whipped the ball into the top corner from long range in sensational fashion.

21:02 CET - Right then, we are underway in the first semi-final of the Club World Cup! Who will earn the right to be at the showpiece event on Sunday?

19:56 CET - Here are the starting lineups for tonight's match, with new signing Joao Pedro making his full debut for Enzo Maresca's side.

19:30 CET - Good evening and welcome to our live coverage of tonight's intriguing semi-final clash between Fluminense and Chelsea!

We're just 90 minutes away from kick-off at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, so we'll bring you the starting lineups very shortly.

Monday, July 7th

13:40 CET - Tomorrow's first semi-final sees Chelsea take on Fluminense at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, as both sides target a spot in Sunday's showpiece event.

Enzo Maresca's men have proved too strong for Benfica and Palmeiras in the knockouts, and they'll fancy their chances in a first-ever meeting between the two teams, while giant killers Fluminense should be confident themselves, having beaten Inter Milan en route to the last four.

Chelsea are favourites to make the finalOpta by StatsPerform

Wednesday's second semi-final is a mouthwatering clash between two of Europe's most potent teams, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

After completing a famous quadruple earlier this season, Luis Enrique's side are certainly favourites for the match, however, it's impossible to write off Los Blancos, who will be desperate to continue their unbeaten start under new boss Xabi Alonso (W4, D1).

00:06 CET - And with that, four remain.

Chelsea will take on Fluminense in the first semi-final on Tuesday night, and that clash will be followed by one between PSG and Real Madrid on Wednesday.

We'll be covering both games right here, so join us then!

00:01 CET - Real Madrid move into the final four! Thibaut Courtois made a stunning last-gasp save to seal a win that Xabi Alonso's team ultimately deserved, despite Dortmund's late rally.

The match momentumOpta by StatsPerform

Saturday, July 5th

23:58 CET - What an ending to the match! Dortmund get a penalty and Serhou Guirassy converts it!

That's a big blow for Real even if they still win, because Dean Huijsen was sent off and will now miss the semi-final should they reach it.

23:55 CET - KYLIAN MBAPPE! Almost immediately after seeing his side concede, the Frenchman has secured the win with a stunning bicycle kick!

23:54 CET - Borussia Dortmund get on the scoresheet! They've halved the deficit out of nowhere via Maximilian Beier, but it's surely no more than a consolation.

23:52 CET - Real Madrid are having fun out there. We're in stoppage time, but they're still pushing to score a third, with Luka Modric producing some beautiful passes.

23:36 CET - It feels like this match is done and dusted. Real are dominating the ball and look more likely to score another than concede.

15 minutes to go.

23:25 CET - Kylian Mbappe and Luka Modric are on for the leaders - can they wrap up the win?

23:15 CET - 10 minutes into the second half, the German side continue to struggle to create clear chances. They need to step things up a gear if they want to keep their Club World Cup campaign alive.

22:49 CET - That's that for the first half and Real Madrid go into the break with a 2-0 lead that they very much deserve.

The first-half statsOpta by StatsPerform

22:40 CET - Dortmund have started to get a bit of a foothold in the game, enjoying some possession in the opposition half, but they're not creating much and are very vulnerable to counter-attacks.

22:30 CET - Los Blancos are playing some wonderful free-flowing football at the moment. Dortmund just can't live with them.

22:23 CET - Real Madrid are on fire! Fran Garcia has got on the end of a low cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold to make it 2-0! What a start for Xabi Alonso's men!

22:10 CET - Gonzalo Garcia does it again! The young striker has turned in a cross from Arda Guler to give Real Madrid an early lead and get his fourth goal of the tournament!

He's undoubtedly been the breakout star of this Club World Cup.

21:10 CET - Los Blancos beat their opponents tonight in last year's Champions League final, but both are very different sides now to the ones they were back then.

Can the German side gain some revenge?

21:02 CET - Right then, on to the next one!

Here's how Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund will line up for the last quarter-final:

Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund starting XIsFlashscore

20:07 CET - PSG have done it, and in the end it is a deserved victory - their superior quality shone through.

Match statsStatsPerform

The Parisians will now face either Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals.

Check out the match summary here.

20:00 CET - Pure class from Achraf Hakimi and PSG have doubled their lead despite being two men down!

Hakimi somehow weaved through three defenders before setting up Ousmane Dembele to score off the bench and surely put this tie to bed.

19:57 CET - PSG are down to nine men! So silly from Lucas Hernandez, who leaves an elbow in the Bayern attacker and receives a red card! PSG must see this out with nine men.

19:55 CET - Harry Kane had the ball in the net for Bayern's second time this evening, but his header was ruled out for offside.

1-0 and six minutes added on. Hang on a minute... Another red card?

19:51 CET - Just before the break, Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala suffered a horror injury which might well keep him out for some time.

Read more about it here.

19:47 CET - Hope for Bayern though as PSG are reduced to 10 men after a lazy challenge by centre-back Willian Pacho.

For the last few minutes plus stoppage time, PSG will play with a man down.

19:43 CET -We have a breakthrough at last! Desire Doue had just started to come into the game a bit with some clever runs, and the exciting winger has now fired PSG ahead.

A clever pull-back by Joao Neves finds Doue on the edge of the box and the teenager wrong-foots Neuer, finding the bottom corner with precision.

19:38 CET - And just like that, Dembele is inches away from doing just that after a huge mistake from Neuer in goal! Khvicha Kvaratskhelia closed down the keeper well before winning a sliding challenge, leaving Dembele with an open net from outside the box, but under pressure from Neuer, the Frenchman toe-pokes an effort wide.

Big chance...

19:35 CET - With the scores still level, PSG's talisman Ousmane Dembele is on in a potentially pivotal moment in this tie. Can the potential Ballon d'Or winner create the spark this game is waiting for?

19:15 CET - Manuel Neuer has been rolling back the years today, and he has just made the best save of the lot!

Bradley Barcola was sent through on goal and looked destined to give PSG the lead, but the German keeper spread himself brilliantly before getting a strong hand to deny the tricky winger's curled effort.

18:53 CET - After knocking on the door at the end of the first half, Bayern Munich finally had the ball in the back of the net as a free-kick found the head of Dayot Upamecano, who directed an effort into the top corner. His celebrations were short-lived, however, as the linesman flagged for offside after PSG brilliantly held their line.

As it is, it remains 0-0 at the break thanks to two top performances from two world-class goalkeepers.

Match statsStatsPerform

Follow the second period here.

18:45 CET - Bayern Munich go close again as a dangerous cross turns into a shot and forces Gianluigi Donnarumma into making cat-like reflexes to stop the ball finding the bottom corner.

18:41 CET - How has Harry Kane missed that? It is the type of chance the England international usually buries in his sleep, but after a brilliant cross by Kingsley Coman, Kane's header from six yards out flies over the bar.

18:36 CET - After a strong start from Bayern Munich, PSG have grown into this contest and have the momentum.

Bayern vs PSG momentum swingsStatsPerform

In truth, there is very little in it, though, as this contest proves to be as tight and even as anticipated.

18:18 CET - The opening 15 minutes of this quarter-final have been played at breakneck speed, but it is Bayern Munich who have started to take control in the last five minutes as they look to force a way through.

18:03 CET - After a minute's silence in honour of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva's passing, we are underway in Atlanta.

17:00 CET - The big team news ahead of tonight's clash is that Ousmane Dembele will start it on the bench for PSG.

Here are the starting XIs:

Friday, July 4th

23:08 CET - Fluminense have done it! They have sealed a 2-1 win over Al Hilal to reach the Club World Cup semi-final! They clung on with everything they had in the dying minutes, fending off waves after waves of pressure. But in the end, they hung on to set up a last-four clash with either Chelsea or fellow Brazilians Palmeiras.

22:40 CET - Fluminense have retaken the lead courtesy of an emphatic finish from Hercules! The Brazilian came off the bench to score in the previous round, and he has done so again today!

22:19 CET - Al Hilal are level just five minutes into the second half! Exactly the response they needed! Marcos Leonardo has thumped home from close range from a corner for his fourth goal of the tournament, making him the joint-top scorer. It is 1-1.

22:14 CET - And we are back underway for the second half!

21:57 CET - It is half time in the opening quarter-final of the Club World Cup, with Fluminense leading Al Hilal 1-0. It has been a very even and cagey contest so far, but the Brazilians are in a good position as it stands.

21:44 CET - With five minutes to go until half time, Fluminense have taken the lead against Al Hilal! Martinelli has scored with a stunning finish with his left foot into the top corner, and the goal couldn't have come at a better time!

21:22 CET - 20 minutes in, there is not too much worth talking about. It has been a cagey start from both teams.

21:02 CET - We are underway in the first quarter-final at the Club World Cup!

20:09 CET - With around 50 minutes to go until the match-up between Al Hilal and Fluminense, the line-ups are in.

17:30 CET - After a two-day break, the Club World Cup returns with the first quarter-finals of the tournament. Up first at 21:00 CET is a meeting between two surprise packages: Al Hilal and Fluminense.

The Saudi side have impressed under new manager Simone Inzaghi, dumping out Premier League heavyweights Manchester City in a last-16 thriller. Fluminense have also shone at this tournament, beating Inter Milan in the last round to secure their spot at this stage.

That is followed at 03:00 CET by Chelsea vs Palmeiras. Enzo Maresca's blue are the heavy favourites, and it would be a big surprise to see them lose here. However, all the Brazilian sides have impressed at the Club World Cup, and it would be foolish to write Palmeiras off.
