Alexis Sanchez has reportedly turned down a loan move to Roma, even after Manchester United agreed to pay half his salary.
According to Tuttomercatoweb writer Tancredi Palmeri, the Giallorossi had worked out the terms of the deal.
It would’ve been a dry loan (without an option to buy) with Roma paying only half his €9.5m per year wages.
However, Alexis Sanchez rejected the transfer, much to Manchester United’s chagrin.
The 30-year-old was purchased from Arsenal in January 2018 for €34m, but made practically no impression at Old Trafford.
Attempts to sell the Chile international have so far failed and it’s hoped they can still send him abroad to Italy, Spain or France.
Last season, he contributed just two goals and four assists in 27 competitive appearances.
