Como coach Cesc shrugs off Inter Milan defeat: Two years ago we wanted to organise friendlies with them

Como coach Cesc Fabregas urged perspective after defeat to Inter Milan last night.

Como pushed the Serie A leaders all the way before succumbing 4-3 on the night.

Cesc said afterwards: "They are very strong on set pieces; there are moments when they are ultra-superior in this regard. We tried, we played, and we did what we had studied during the week. If we only look at the performance, I think Como played at our level, which is important.

"We're still a long way off, we're missing a player, more matches like this. Two years ago I tried to play a friendly against Inter; it was a dream for us less than twenty-two months ago.

"Now it looks like we have to beat Inter, or play much better than us. We know who we are, we have a long way to go, and we're only at the beginning of where I think this club and this team can go.

"There are those who believe in it and those who don't, but we have to follow this path: we don't always have to explain everything. We're strong as a club, we're following our own path."
