Portugal hosted Norway in a UEFA Nations League match. In the 86th minute, Francisco Conceição received two yellow cards in quick succession, resulting in a red card and his dismissal.
Portugal was preparing to substitute Conceição when the referee showed him a yellow card for delaying his departure from the pitch. Conceição then gave the referee a thumbs-up, immediately earning a second yellow card and a red card. Portugal was forced to finish the match with ten men.
At the time of Conceição's dismissal, Portugal was leading 2-1. Earlier, Ajer had put Norway ahead in the 36th minute, João Cancelo equalized in the 38th minute, and Gonçalo Ramos scored in the 79th minute to give Portugal the lead.

The lad did something stupid. You know you are on a yellow card and about to be substituted why not keep your cool? That thumbs up was a direct insult to the referee's intelligence, if I was the ref I would have given him straight Red.

Players sometimes can be funny, collecting yellow when you’re already walking out from the pitch
