There have been some concerns in France about the way the Paris Saint-Germain squad expresses itself, more specifically that the dressing room's common and dominant language is Spanish.
PSG have a multinational and multilingual squad, reflected in the way the communicate with each other, but you could be forgiven for being surprised by the manner in which French has fallen by the wayside.
The head coach himself, Mauricio Pochettino, barely uses the French language, addressing his players instead primarily in his native Spanish or English. Some of his coaching staff do have a good command of French, but it is not the go-to language of the squad as a whole.
At one time, the club made it mandatory for its non-French speaking players to learn the local language, but that is no longer the case and, under no obligation, few players opt to learn it now.
Mbappe's best efforts
Arguably the biggest star of the France national team, Kylian Mbappe, playing in the capital of his home country, makes an effort to speak Spanish or English. So do other Francophones, such as Idrissa Gueye and Abdou Diallo.
Neymar, Angel Di Maria and Keylor Navas are said to never use French, but they do understand it. New arrivals, such as Lionel Messi and Nuno Mendes, however, have no knowledge of French.
Some of the foreign players do make an effort to learn the language, including Ander Herrera, Juan Bernat, Rafinha Alcantara, Danilo Pereira and Julian Draxler, who can all get by in French.
The Parisian outfit haven't had a French coach since Laurent Blanc left in 2016 and since then the French language has been losing its status at the club.
It is only natural, of course, that a group of players and coaches will seek to find common linguistic ground and speak the majority language, but some in Paris might feel uneasy about that not being French.

For CR7 fans Messi going to PSG was the best thing that could happen.Their lives were nearly ended when he won Copa so now at PSG: -If he doesn't score in ligue 1 they can troll him -If he scores in ligue 1 they can troll him All this trolling for not scoring in a league they say is insignificant but he has 3UCL goals in 3 UCL games and say he would struggle in EPL. I pity those fans cz of their hatred for him they think everyone who likes him is biased, so they blame @autty, the media and past players cz they can't accept the fact he is the goat.

Messi gets criticism for not performing good in 2021 yet he has 54 G/A in 51 games. And 3 UCL goals in 3 UCL games this season for PSG.
