Courtois becomes 2nd keeper in UCL history with 2 assists in a season

On March 11, in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16, Courtois made a precise long pass from the backfield in the 20th minute to assist Valverde in breaking the deadlock.

According to Stats Foot, including his assist to Mbappe in the second round of the league against Almaty Kairat, Courtois has provided two assists in the Champions League this season. He has thus become the second goalkeeper in Champions League history, after Jorge Molina, the goalkeeper for Deportivo La Coruña in the 2003-04 season, to provide at least two assists in a single Champions League season.
