Philippe Coutinho has returned to Barcelona ready to convince Ronald Koeman and the team's fans of what he can do.
The Brazilian spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich, which culminated in a Champions League triumph in Lisbon.
Back at the Camp Nou, the midfielder has found himself in the perfect scenario to be a success in LaLiga Santander.
Koeman used Coutinho as a No.10 against Villarreal, with his strengths of assisting, dribbling and shooting suited to that position.
During Sunday's game, the 28-year-old completed 43 of his 47 passes and completed three out of his three dribbles.
As well as that, his connection with the rest of his teammates was excellent and he set up Ansu Fati for the youngster's second goal.
Koeman has been delighted with Coutinho's performances and commitment, offering praise to the player for his defensive contributions.
With Luis Suarez now gone, the Dutch coach isn't ruling out playing without a traditional No.9 and could use Coutinho in a deeper lying role there.

Yes, coutinho is finally playing his preferred position rather than being forced on the left last time, on top of that he is showing great chemistry between Messi, fati, griezman and the others. Barca is also showing great fluidity in the attack. All these plastered have clicked together quicker than expected which is a good sign

Coutinho is a great player, it just that Barcelona former Boss misplaced him and he was not willing to give the Brazilian chance to adapt... but thanks to our new Boss for the recruitment
