Cristiano Ronaldo has spent his career breaking records on the soccer field. Now he has made history off it, becoming the first player ever to appear on Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index.
How much is Cristiano Ronaldo worth?
Taking into account the Portugal captain’s career earnings, business investments, and endorsement deals, Bloomberg estimates that Ronaldo’s net worth has reached $1.4 billion.
The 40-year-old’s legendary spells with Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus made him one of soccer’s top earners for nearly two decades. But his 2023 move to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr sent his income to an entirely new level.
Record-breaking contracts in Saudi Arabia
According to Bloomberg, Ronaldo earned more than $550 million from playing contracts between 2003, when he joined Manchester United, and 2023. That year, he became the highest-paid player in the history of the sport after signing with Al Nassr, where he reportedly earns around $200 million a year in tax-free salary and bonuses.
In June 2025, Ronaldo extended his stay in Saudi Arabia with a new two-year deal worth a reported $400 million, keeping him in Riyadh until after his 42nd birthday.
Lucrative sponsorships and global influence
Off the field, Ronaldo’s endorsement deals with global brands such as Nike, Armani, and Castrol are believed to have added another $175 million to his fortune.
On the pitch, he holds records for the most goals and assists in the UEFA Champions League, and has played more international games and scored more international goals than any other male player in history.
Off it, Ronaldo is the most followed person on Instagram and the first to surpass one billion combined followers across Facebook, X, YouTube, and Instagram, further boosting his unmatched global influence.
