Cristiano Ronaldo has reached a verdict on his Juventus future after entering the final 12 months of his deal in Turin, according to reports in Italy.
Ronaldo has been heavily linked with sensational returns to Real Madrid and Manchester United over the last year, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believed to be in touch with the 36-year-old.
Despite his advanced years, the Portuguese icon continues to post incredible goalscoring numbers and was the top scorer in Serie A last season with 29 goals in 33 games.
It is no surprise Ronaldo is as in-demand as ever - but he has decided to see out the final year of his deal.
That's according to La Gazzetta dello Sport , which claims Ronaldo appears likely to leave for free next summer with no terms agreed for an extension.
Juventus are expected to push for a new deal over the next 12 months, but the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is also keen to return to Sporting Lisbon, where he emerged from the academy ranks.
This latest update on Ronaldo's future is not a surprising one, as Juve chiefs and players have been adamant the player will stay at the Allianz Stadium for some time.
Speaking earlier this month, Bianconeri defender Danilo declared: "Having him in the team is important for us because he brings an avalanche of goals, and besides, he’s a dear friend, we’ve known each other since Real Madrid. He’ll still be with us next season."
Sporting director Federico Cherubini added: "We haven't had any indication on the part of Cristiano Ronaldo [that he wants to leave].
"We don't need to talk about a transfer and Juventus do not want to sell him. We're talking about a player who scored 36 goals in 44 games last season.
"We're very happy that Ronaldo will be with the squad after his holiday."
Ronaldo is expected to return to Juventus for pre-season training 25 July after his exploits at Euro 2020. The superstar forward captained Portugal to the last 16 but his side were beaten 1-0 by Belgium.
He won the tournament's Golden Boot with five goals and one assist and wrote on Instagram : "Thanks to everyone who helped me achieve another milestone!"
Ronaldo has posted plenty of other updates from his holidays on Instagram, including a number with his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, and four children.
Juventus fans will be hoping he returns from vacation rejuvenated as the club looks to wrestle back the Serie A title from Inter Milan.
Ronaldo has scored 101 goals in three seasons with Juventus since arriving from Real Madrid for £99million in 2018.

For everyone who says Ronaldo is better in International level - Let take a look at the only Titles both has won. Euro 2016 Ronaldo Stats vs Messi Copa 2021 Stats. Age: Euro 2016 - CR7 - 31 Copa 2021 - Messi - 34. ----------------------------------- Appearances Lionel Messi - 7 Cristiano Ronaldo - 7 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Goals Lionel Messi - 4 Cristiano Ronaldo - 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Minutes per goal Lionel Messi - 158 Cristiano Ronaldo - 208 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Assists Lionel Messi - 5 Cristiano Ronaldo - 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Big chances missed Lionel Messi - 2 Cristiano Ronaldo - 5 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Big chances created Lionel Messi - 6 Cristiano Ronaldo - 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Free-kicks scored Lionel Messi - 2 Cristiano Ronaldo - 0 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Average match rating Lionel Messi - 8.30 Cristiano Ronaldo - 7.34 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Individual Awards Messi - 2 (Golden Boot, Player of The Tournment) Ronaldo - 0 ------------------------------------------------------------------ MOTM Awards Messi - 4 out of 7 Games Ronaldo - 2 out of 7 Games ------------------------------------------------------------------ Overwhelming win for Messi Well, there you have it, Messi produced better statistics this summer than Ronaldo did at Euro 2016 in just about every respect and all while having played a similar amount of minutes. Arguments: 1. Ronaldo Injured in Final - Besides, the fact that Ronaldo was taken off injured during the final can be counterbalanced by the fact that Messi still has a better goal-per-game ratio despite playing extra time against Colombia. 2. Copa America is in some way a lesser competition and that winning the European Championships is far more difficult. However, that's not something that you can relay on when you consider that Portugal's route to the 2016 final consisted of Iceland, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Poland, Wales. - Just one win in 90 minutes in all matches played. And when Messi had to overcome Chile, Uruguay, Colombia and Brazil on the way to conquering South America, it becomes pretty clear that the Copa America bashing simply doesn't hold up. As a result, Messi wins this argument in just about every way you can look at it and the reason why people call him GOAT. Note : I haven't pulled out the Stats of Dribbling, Key passes and Through passes and Passing Accuracy as it would be utter humiliation for Ronaldo and there are "Ronaldo Fans" who still argue to whom we can share the sympathy and pray to God to give them some brain to think.
