Cristiano Ronaldo is once again making headlines. In a new sit-down interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, the Portuguese superstar opened up about his life and made a surprising revelation.

One of his Ronaldo’s remaining life goals is to meet U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss world peace.

During the interview, Morgan asked Ronaldo about a signed jersey he had recently sent to Trump, which included the handwritten message: President Donald J. Trump, playing for peace.”

Ronaldo explained that he believes Trump is someone with the power to influence global change, adding that he hopes to speak with him personally about peace efforts.

“If the world is at peace, that’s our goal,” Ronaldo said. “He’s one of the people who can change or help change the world. And that’s my main objective: to meet Trump and talk about world peace. If you can make it happen, he’s someone I’d really like to sit down with.”

CR7: “I’ll tell him what we have in common”

The 39-year-old Al Nassr forward said he admires Trump’s leadership and drive to “make things happen.”

“Here, in the United States - wherever it happens, I’d like to meet him. I know he’s been to Saudi Arabia,” Ronaldo continued. “I hope to sit down with him someday because he’s one of those people I really like. I think he can make things happen, and I respect people like that.”

Ronaldo also hinted that he believes he and Trump share a personal trait, though he declined to say what it is for now.

“I hope the world finds a path to peace soon,” he said. “That’s what I’m looking for. And someday, if I get the chance to sit down with him, I’ll tell him what we have in common. But I’ll keep it to myself until that moment.”
