Cristiano Ronaldo's pre-match ritual revealed

Cristiano Ronaldo was left on the bench for Manchester United's trip to Burnley on Tuesday, and when he was introduced onto the pitch, his pre-match ritual became clear.

Ronaldo was caught on camera kissing his shin-pads six times, upon which is the coat of arms of Portugal and a picture of his family. It is the latest superstition in his long career, although it didn't necessarily assist the veteran as he was unable to steer Manchester United to victory at Turf Moor.
