Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend has sparked rumours that the pair are engaged after she shared a photo of a dazzling new ring on her ring finger.

Georgina Rodriguez flaunted the diamond-encrusted ring on her right hand, which is customary in Spain for wedding and engagement rings.

The pair recently had their first child together and it appears they have now reached another milestone in their relationship.

Rodriguez was sat in the back of the Real Madrid star's car when she revealed her new ring and blew a kiss to the camera.

The Instagram story was accompanied by the caption, 'Con mi persona favorito' which means simply, 'with my favourite person'.

The images caused a flurry of excitement on social media from fans of the couple as they look set to tie the knot.

Model Rodriguez gave birth to her first child with Ronaldo a few months ago, Alana Martina, although Ronaldo also has two other children.

Ronaldo is also gearing up for the second-leg of Real Madrid's Champions League semi-final with Bayern Munich.

The Spanish side go into the game at the Bernabeu with a 2-1 lead and some important away goals.

However they will still need to be at their best on Tuesday to get past Bayern as they look to achieve a record-breaking three consecutive Champions League titles.
