Game is over and the final score is Crystal Palace 0-1 Man City. Here is the match report.
Match Report
It's advantage Manchester City in the Premier League title race after Erling Haaland's 28th Premier League goal of the season earned Pep Guardiola's title-chasers a 1-0 away win at Selhurst Park.
Haaland spurned the best chance of the first-half as the Premier League's top goalscorer latched onto Bernardo Silva's driven cross but skied his effort over the bar.
Palace for all their defensive brilliance looked short of ideas upfront and failed to produce a shot on target in the opening half, despite threatening with some positive play.
Julian Alvarez's introduction in the second-half saw the visitors switch to a 4-4-2 and he nearly made an instant impact after creating space in the Palace box but in similar fashion to Haaland blasted his shot over the bar.
The hosts were stubborn in defence and perhaps deserved at least a point but a momentary lapse in concentration cost them dearly as Michael Olise clattered into Ilkay Gundogan inside the box.
Haaland stayed calm to send Vicente Guaita the wrong way from the spot and finally put the visitors in control.
Palace rang the attacking changes with Eberechi Eze and Odsonne Edouard thrown on from the bench but their impact was minimal as the reigning Premier League champions tightened up and restriced space in their own half.
