Marc Cucurella has admitted an offer from Barcelona would be 'hard to turn down' as the Chelsea defender was pressed on his future on international duty.
Cucurella is due to feature for Spain in their friendly on Tuesday night against Egypt, as one of the pre-tournament favourites build towards the World Cup.
With the match taking place at Barcelona's Camp Nou, Cucurella was asked whether it would be hard to say no to the club if they made an approach over a transfer.
Cucurella, who came through Barcelona's academy but never made a senior appearance for the club, admitted he would have to weigh up such a proposal.
'If those situations arrive, they are difficult to reject. 'I would have to consider it,' Cucurella replied.
'It's not just me, I also have to think about my family. Between all of us, we would decide what is best for us.
'Right now I'm not thinking about that. If it comes, it will come, and we'll see what decision is made.'
The 27-year-old full back, however, added that he remained 'very happy' at Chelsea.
'You always think about going back [to Spain].
'I'm very happy there [at Chelsea], and so is my family. I'll leave it for a few years from now.'
Cucurella, who joined Chelsea from Brighton in a £60m deal back in 2022, has been a key player for the Blues this season across 41 appearances.
The defender is the latest Chelsea player to answer questions on the club future during the international break.
While Moises Caicedo reiterated his commitment to the Blues, fellow midfielder Enzo Fernandez again appeared to cast doubt on his future.
Fernandez, who joined the Blues in a £108million move in 2023, first cast doubt over his Stamford Bridge future after the team's Champions League exit to Paris Saint-Germain, insisting he does not know what will happen this summer.
The Argentine then criticised Chelsea's board for sacking former boss Enzo Maresca, claiming the Italian's departure 'hurt' the squad in a thinly-veiled dig at new head coach Liam Rosenior.
And while on international duty with his country, Fernandez has once again hinted at a Chelsea exit.
In a livestream with Argentine channel SpiderCARP, he was asked which other city he would like to live in.
Fernandez replied: 'Madrid... I like Madrid very much... it's similar to Buenos Aires.'

I wish all the top players in my team will leave so that owners will learn their lessons the hard way. Hire a proven coach, sign experience players they say no. They prefer signing babies and selling for higher profits

Chelsea has become very chaotic and useless, any serious minded player will leave, no blames. Go find a better place to advance your career.

Given the prevailing atmospheric conditions at Chelsea right now, if I were to be a player there and asked similar questions, I'd give similar responses. The Chelsea hierarchy needs to be better.

Barcelona isn’t just a club, it’s home for many players—but Chelsea gave him stability and trust. Big decisions like this define careers, not just transfers.

Chelsea can't be nurturing players for the so called big clubs, this is so because the club has lost identity and now respect for the new coach. This is a very very difficult place to be.I have surpoted Chelsea since 2000 and I have never seen players come up this much to talk about exists With the money being right, let cucurella go.Barcelona have no money to buy players although they have remained attractive due to field performances Enzo must go to Madrid. For him 150 million pounds or no deal. When he comes from international duty no game time.He prepares for the world cup from the bomb squad

Mutelopst ,maresca wasn’t fired, he told Chelsea board that he is leaving the club end of the season, and Chelsea organization doesn’t like it and they let him go right away.

The ownership is the cause of everything. They’re running the club their own wishes forgetting about the club feeling.
