Following Manchester United's draw against West Ham, Frank Ilett went viral online, and Matheus Cunha recently addressed the topic in an interview.
Cunha stated, "Everyone's more concerned with winning five games to fulfill that promise to cut his hair, not with getting those 15 points. I care more about the points, not his hair. We talk about it occasionally, but it's not a motivation for us at all; we don't think it's cool."
"Nobody wants those five wins, or more, more than us. But I think this pressure of cutting his hair is somewhat overshadowing the good things this season could have been, you know?"

I don’t really blame the guy, because I don’t think he knows the effect of what he is doing. As a fan, he means well. He loves the club and wants to show support in his own way. But sometimes, passion without thinking things through can become a problem. Instead of helping the team, his actions are putting extra pressure on them. With this strange decision, he is drawing more attention to United’s struggles. Every match now feels less about football and more about whether his hair will finally be cut. That’s not fair to the players, and it does not help the atmosphere at all. When another United fan pulled his hair during a game at Old Trafford and was asked why, he said he was trying to motivate other teams. As odd as that sounds, there is some truth in it. This whole situation has become a distraction. Rival fans laugh at it, the media talks about it, and it shifts focus away from the team. The guy clearly means well. He wants to support United. But good intentions are not always enough. Sometimes, not seeing the bigger picture is the real problem. At a place like Old Trafford, what the team needs most is calm, focused support...not something that turns into unnecessary pressure and noise.
