Experts of last DAILY TOPIC: In what situation do you think a club should sack the coach?
@syrendatruth: There is alot of money in modern football, especially in Europe, the pay check rivals any top cooperate organisation,as it's expected in cooperate organisations results and performance go along way to determine an employer's faith in employees that is the same criteria with a football clubs relationship with coaches many things come into play, like the type of club, the position of the club before appointment, expectation of the club and it's fans the reputation of the manager, e. g if it was another coach performing in Madrid the way Zidane is this season he would have been sacked, but the man has a huge reputation has a player and coach for the club that will definitely cut him some slacks, also see Arsenal case with Wenger he has stop performing but the club can't seem to let him go,but if we look towards the other side of town to their neighbors Chelsea you immediately see the kinder pressure conte is under even though he did so well with the team in his first season. The point of all this illustration is there is no exact or significant level of performance that warrants a club to sack it's coach it all depends firstly on the club, then also on the project and ambitions the club is pursuing with the said coach, some clubs like short term success or immediate effect while others have patience except something major happens.
@bacetonkich: Depends on clubs status.
Elite clubs like Real, Barca, Bayern, PSG in modern football dont have time and patience to wait for you. Coaches are under most pressure and u have to deliver wins and trophies. Keeping good relationships with the board and star players is key to the coaches success. Improving your teams playstyle or form wont help u in these kind of clubs. You need to win trophies and compete on all fronts all the time or else you will get sacked. Thats why big clubs dont have coaches who stay for more than three years and after they get sacked they get a break because they need to recharge after the pressure of running a top club. Also winning trophies doesnt mean the coach will be there next season. Like PSG its easy to win a treble in France but if u get eliminated in the group stages of UCL you are gone. There is no time for patience in this clubs. The fans the board has big and unrealistic demands on coaches and thats why their shelf life is so short.
In top four and midtable clubs.
You dont have to win anything. You have that top four position goal and whatever happens in Europe or in the domestic cup doesnt really impact that much. If they see that the coach has a good project in his mind and is improving his team playstyle, tactics and winning more games season after season the board and fans will be happy. You can see that in clubs like Tottenham, Liverpool, Lazio and Atletico which now have become a top club thanks to the overall development from the board and from Simeone. If the board sees that the coach has a long term plan and is improving the team day by day they will give him whatever he wants. You dont have that pressure to win every game. Look at Klopp and Pochetino. They are improving their clubs season after season and the board and fans are pleased. Have they won any titles? No. If they were in a top club they will be long gone.
@JUNAID_sXl: The understanding is that we sack them because the results are not good enough, patience has run out and we see no prospects of a turnaround.
Then comes the next question: if results are bad is that necessarily the coach’s fault? And would sacking him, and replacing him, deliver good results?
Bad results can be the fault of the coach or the players or a combination of both. Sometimes blame can even be levelled at the hierarchy, the board?
As an observer I have often asked, if a failing coach has been hired why do the people who hired him, the board, get off scot free? Why don’t they get sacked too?
Ineptitude by the board in making coaching appointments can be demonstrable. In 2012 the Melbourne Victory board sacked Mehmet Durakovic, who was failing, and appointed Jim Magilton in his place. The bad results continued and soon Magilton was gone, too. On reflection neither Durakovic nor Magilton should have been chosen. A season had been wasted. And who was to blame for that?
@estera: Well, again tricky question . Some clubs will be more tolerable to coach's mistakes , some less, depends of several different factors, so one coach could stay years and years in the club despite of wrong tactics ,big mistakes and poor managing judgments ,while other coach would be sacked after few unconvincing games in a row. Pretty crucial factor is the status and expirience of some coach in football world ,for example Arsene Wenger is pretty respected in coaching world for years ,it is not easy to sack a coach who dedicated almost whole his managing career to one club , no matter the recent poor results ,he still exist on the past fame. This is a reflection of the club's tolerance for particular coach.. Bayern didn't have any tolerance for Carlo Ancelotti's poor managing judgments. After unconvincing few months he was sacked ,no mercy ,no feelings , this was it ! That is because ,behind Bayern is strict German background, German discipline and accuracy,if particular coach doesn't Bring the results ,he is out ! One more important factor could be connection between the team and the coach. One coach who is loved and respected from his club ,will stay at this club longer ,no matter the results, than the coach who doesn't have good relationship with club's board and his team. I am pretty sure Zinedine Zidane will stay in Real despite unconvincing La Liga season because obviously currently this connection between him and the club is above all ,but certainly for better results he will have to work harder ,in this case crucial Will be Real's board politics. Conclusion : everything depends of particular club and their tolerance ,will or will not some coach be sacked and the reasons why.

Without a doubt, for me, it's Arjen Robben. I'm talking about one of the most underrated players of both his generation and the 21st century. Now 34, and given his precocious, meteoric rise in the Eredivise, one would have expected him to be one of the greatest players of modern soccer. Per contra, an unlucky spate of injuries and bad luck in crucial games have taken some of the shine off a career that is gradually approaching it's end. First, he was the golden boy of Chelsea under Mourinho's reign, who terrorized defences with his deft left touches and blistering speed. He scored so many great, redoubtable goals that left commentators short of words and was a crucial part of the North London side that finally conquered the premier league after 50 years of failure. However, his spell at England was short-lived as injuries got the better part of his consistency; with the gaffer's patience eventually running out in 2007. The flying Dutchman was so talented that he attracted the interest of the World's greatest club - Real Madrid - even as a rejected stone. He took little time to settle at the Spanish capital after his £24 million move was sealed; winning the league title in his first season and producing mouth watering performances: notably against the Catalans and Los Che.. He eventually became the Merengues talisman in 2009 but once again, injuries forced the galacticos - whose management was now under Florentino Perez - to sell him to Bayern Munich for a ripoff of €25 million. In the event of his arrival, Frank Ribery said and I paraphrase, "The signing of Robben has shown me that the club is serious about winning titles." He scored a brace on his debut in a 3 - 0 rout and continues to deliver surreal performances till date. His standout season was undoubtedly in 2009/2010 when he won the league and cup double; won the Bundesliga player of the year; played in both the champions league and world cup finals and was a touted candidate for the Ballon d'or. He was unjustly deprived of the prestigious accolade and lost both the World Cup and Champion's League finals despite strong overall performances. He is gradually becoming a bit part player for Bayern as age is no longer on his side and the anticipation of a Legendary career may never be actualized, unfortunately. Nevertheless, his retirement would leave many in the wonder of what might have been if the immensely talented Dutchman had been a little bit healthier.

Neymar:.. he's an extraordinary player one of the greatest in the football world today but if he doesn't realise he has to make a move from France either back to Spain or England he's career will not be as appreciated as the career of the legendary ronaldinho..... he's actually being over worked in PSG

Marcus Reus he's such a talented player but with the stories of him getting injured just kept on the hook for a while, he could have done pretty well if he wasn't injured... hopefully with his return this would begin a new and brighter spell for him at the Club possibly. no more injuries

First Name I would like to mention is Arsenal Midfielder Santi Cazorla!! Santi Cazorla has gone under the knife 10 times since an injury in 2016 and plans on returning to the top level in 2019 provided all goes to plan. Cazorla, who is 33, has not pulled on the Arsenal jersey since October 2016 when he suffered an injury in a Champions League game against Ludogrets. Since that injury, Cazorla has gone under the knife TEN times and in a recent interview revealed that an infection had resulted in the surgeons taking EIGHT centimetres of tendon from his ankle. Second would be Daniel Sturridge!! A world class and very smart striker in front of the goal.Everyone who witnessed his goalscoring capacity two seasons back for Liverpool would know that.Such a good striker but injury prone!! He would have been at another level by now if he could have continued without any injuries!! Third would be Hull City Midfielder Ryan Mason! Mason sustained a fractured skull after competing with Cahill during a corner in a Premier League match last January. He required emergency surgery on 'life-threatening injuries' and was released eight days later. Mason had originally announced his plans to return to football in early 2018 and said in October that he was waiting for his skull to further recover before taking to the field again. The midfielder was initially expected to return to football, but recent scans showed the injury to be even more significant than originally feared. As a result, Mason announced his retirement at the age of 26 to an outpouring of tributes and well wishes from across English football.

I think that the most unlucky would beAsamoah Gyan. For those who don't know him. He is known for missing crucial penalties in important matches. Remember the world cup quarter-final between Ghana and Uruguay, it was an intense match Ghana pressing Uruguay, and were on the verge to become the first African country to reach the semi finals but the unforgettable happened,Luis Suarez ( how i hate him). Right before the end of extra time he kept the ball out of the net using his hand. Ghana received a penalty and if they scored history would be made. Of course all Africans were supporting Ghana and were celebrating already the victory. So Gyan stepped in and shooot “ bam, he missed”. They went in the penalty shoot out and of course lost. This is not the end he also missed a crucial penalty in the African cup of nations semi finals that would have sent Ghana to the finals. People say that they burnt his house in Ghana. The other one is an obvious choice

My most unforgettable sympathy goes to Liverpool Captain Steven Gerrad when he lost procession of the ball that lead to Chelsea scoring and winning the game at Anfield. Imagine how frustrated he was because he knew very well that the lost caused Liverpool not winning the EPL that season. It goes on to say how that change his commitment towards the team that lead him to retire and played major league only to come back to Liverpool youth team as manager. His love for Liverpool still intact tough.

Marcus Rashford.. This boy is a massive talent but am afraid for his career because of how many times he's on the bench than on the peach the more he sits on the sideline the more he's losing momentum

it's mesut ozil for me...I mean he is a wonderful player but it's also a fact that he is in arsenal no matter how much I love that team..it's just downhill ..none of the strikers have been lethal in front of goal.. and for a player like ozil, u don't expect him to score ..he creates chances..he creates goals ..he needs a good efficient striker in front of the opposition goal for his work to be fruitful ..but sadly that's not the case..the reason he piled up assists in Madrid was because of the great attack accuracy ...but that's not the case in arsenal...because of which he has been under a lot of criticism too...I really hope it turns around for him..

Di Maria. He is the most underrated footballer .He played extremely good in 2013-14 season for real madrid. He was the one of the main reason for real madrid success in copa del ray and champions league that seson.but surprisingly real madrid sold him next season. After that,he could not play such beautiful football for man u or psg for injury and lack of chances.but as a real madrid fan,i salute him for the joy he has given to us.

Marco Reus. Without a doubt. He has the chance to be one among the world's best but injuries prevented him. Almost every single one of his friends and teammates left for rival clubs and other places only he was left there. Even during lat years World Cup, he got injured and missed it. So he is the player that I am sympathetic towards

Its Mesut Ozil in my opinion bcoz he is a talented player nd one of the best midfielders of the world. Due to poor coaching of Wenger and lack of strong defense, Arsenal is losing to even 2nd nd 3rd tier teams...I think Ozil shud probably join the spanish league or his nation's Bundesliga. To be honest, HE IS WASTIMG HIS PEAK TIME IN ARSENAL

Michael Ballack. Twice in his extraordinary career hes has come 2nd in every competition in a year. 2002 and 2008 respectfully and then had his career ended before 2010 world cup where he would have been expected to thrive. In 2002 he was 2nd world cup, german league german cup and champions league. Only the best volley ever scored by the great Zidane stoped him. Then in 2008, euros 2nd champions league 2nd, premier league and fa cup i think. A truly extraordinary player leader and legend. 13 for life!

It would be the original Ronaldo. He may have been considered one of the best footballers of all time. But just because of his ravaging and footballers most nightmare acl injuries (THREE times not one), he would have definitely be the best above Pele and Maradona. I have never seen any footballers came out of such injury, being able to put on world class performance as he did. But again, his comeback story is a magical fairy tales, an inspiration to all footballers. If people look at how he plays people will understand how unreal he is. Messi may be the fastest player with the ball at his feet, but Messi greatest asset his ball control and stability. Imagine Messi pace, plus all the skills performed by Neymar/Ronaldinho, Ronaldo did those with such precise pace and intellect. However for me Ronaldo has is still and will always be the best footballer. Because he overcame adversity and came on top. I miss Ronaldo.

Mario Balotelli no doubt... such a great talent but he is trapped in the racism causing problems to his game
I highly agree with this one, he isn’t my favorite but I do like the guy a lot and he’s a great striker but like said, racism destroyed his career at early which is so sad to see. Many people make excuses about his behavior but his behavior has nothing to do with his football attributes and he should’ve been more recognized but the racist people of this world have denied him that, respect for speaking out on this 🙏🏽

My special sympathy goes to Zlatan Ibramovic. He featured for quality football clubs; Ajax, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Barcelona, PSG and now Manchester United. I feel for him because of the way he missed two opportunities to lift two UCL in his football career. First, as soon as Inter Milan transferred him to Barca, Inter Milan won the 2009/2010 Champions League the following season without him. Barcelona later transfer him to PSG and the following season Barcelona won the Champions League. He is a great player who should have at least one Balon d'Or in his possession. Now the only European trophy he can boast of is the Uefa Europa League Cup triumph with Manchester United in Stockholm his home land.

and i am also having a great sympathy for dani cabellos who was in spectacular form in under 21 world cup , and then only real decided to catch him up , but here in Madrid he is not given that much chances and minutes also ,although he proved himself imp. than lloriente and also scored goal on his full debut but then also ,i don't know why zidane is not having trust in him , he should remain in real Madrid for another season and fight for his position and , i know he is a world class player

Cristiano Ronaldo because even after all he has achieved he will always be considered as second to Messi by most people. he is also competing for records against messi who is two and a half years younger. I pity him more because he is part of the Madrid project unlike messi who is part of the Barcelona family. Barcelona fans never forget but in Madrid you can be a living legend and still get booed.
