David Moyes has revealed his aim to take on another managerial role, but the former Man United and West Ham boss stressed he will only return if the opportunity is right.
Moyes is currently out of work after leaving West Ham at the end of last season.
The 61-year-old, who led the Hammers to the Conference League in 2023, has been linked with several roles during the season.
Should Moyes take another job, it would be the eighth post of a managerial career which stretches back to 1998.
Moyes admitted to the BBC that he does not plan to take a job at a club fighting against relegation should he return to management.
'I don't consider myself done yet but I am certainly enjoying some time off,' Moyes told the BBC.
'The one thing I won't do is put any manager under pressure personally, because I don't believe in it. I have not liked it when I have been in that position myself.
'We are all getting a little bit older and I have to make sure I am doing the right thing for myself.
'If there is another part to it, so be it. But I would only want it to be a good part. I wouldn't want to be coming in and doing something which is very difficult.
'I don't want to be at the bottom of the league and fighting relegation which I have had a few times, so we will see how things go.'
Moyes has managed over 1,100 matches during his career across spells at Preston, Everton, Man United, Real Sociedad, Sunderland and two separate stints at West Ham.
The Conference League success marked the pinnacle of Moyes second spell with the Hammers, which spanned from December 2019 to May 2024.
The success had seen Moyes bounce back from his disappointing spell as Man United manager after succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson, as well as difficult subsequent roles at Real Sociedad and Sunderland.
Moyes has been included in the New Year's Honours list for services to football, highlighting his achievements in the game.
The Scot has managed a total of 697 matches in the Premier League during his career.
The figure is only exceeded by Arsene Wenger and Ferguson.

You’re right about the players. But Amorim came with his ideas. We can clearly see there’s an identity now and how was want to play, but most of these set of players can’t play his style. Amorim’s style requires running to and fro at every angle, having stamina & agility, having strength, but these players are just bunch of lazy players. They’re not giving their all. Once the transfer window opens, they should sell up to half of these players and buy new players. And no exceptions. And if Amorim is not giving us what we want then we can sack him.
