Liverpool's Carabao Cup quarter-final clash at Aston Villa will be broadcast live - despite the match not yet having been scheduled.
Sky Sports have taken the decision to show the game, which should have been played on the week beginning December 16.
The Reds, though, are in Qatar that week to take part in the FIFA Club World Cup having qualified by virtue of winning the Champions League last season.
Liverpool already have to rearrange their Premier League trip to West Ham United due to their participation in Doha.
Jurgen Klopp's side won through to the Carabao Cup last eight on penalties after a remarkable 5-5 draw at home to Arsenal last week.
Afterwards, the Reds boss suggested Liverpool would withdraw from the competition if an appropriate date was not found for their quarter-final.
The Football League have no appetite for that to happen, however, with all involved parties still seeking to determine a date for the Villa Park clash.
At present, the most likely outcome is to play the match at the next available date of the week beginning January 6, which is when the first leg of the semi-final has originally been scheduled.
Sky Sports will also broadcast the quarter-final between Oxford United and Manchester City on December 18.
The other ties see Everton entertain Leicester City while Manchester United are at home to Colchester United.
