In Ligue 1 Round 12, Lyon lost 2-3 at home to Paris Saint-Germain in a last-minute goal, and former Lyon player Lacazette praised Lyon's performance on social media while subtly criticizing the referee for favoring Paris Saint-Germain.
In this home game against Paris Saint-Germain, Lyon twice equalized the score after trailing. In stoppage time, Lyon defender Tagliafico was booked for a foul, his second yellow card resulted in a red card and he was sent off. Subsequently, JoΓ£o Neves headed in a goal to secure a last-minute victory for Paris Saint-Germain.
After the game, Lacazette, a former Lyon player who left the club this summer, took to social media to defend Lyon, writing: "Lyon, well done. Playing 11 against 12 is no easy feat β€οΈπ"

Bad refereeing decisions happen in all leagues either intentionally or unintentionally but what is most known is that in Spain. Do you know why? Because of the biggest rivalry in club football in the world. There is no rivalry in football history greater than that between Barcelona and Real Madrid. So whenever anything small mistake goes against Barcelona, Barcelona fans will be crying everywhere. When Madrid is favoured, still Barcelona fans will be crying everywhere so as to humiliate and discredit Madrid. Madrid fans also do the same. And for Madrid, I think for them it's worse. They want to behave as if they have the capacity to win everything if they are not cheated. They are good at presenting themselves as victims. They know how to cry loud. When you hear them crying, you may think that they are a holy football club. You may think that they have never benefitted from bad refereeing. So Madrid and Barcelona fans are the ones who make bad refereeing in Spain get known everywhere. But in leagues like French League 1, cheating will be there but it may not be easily known because they don't have many fans worldwide and there is no stiff rivalry.

something most players are afraid of saying. this won't end well ππππ. no wonder Ligue 1 is boring
laliga is worst Top 5 football leagues in the world EPL Bundesliga Seria A laliga league 1 Spanish league is still rated above league 1 because of mix of economic, sporting, media and historical factors. recently 2025/2026 laliga is turning into league Player exodus: Top spanish talent and rising foreign stars routinely move to England, Germany or Italy or France for higher wages and exposure but laliga is still better in term of broadcasting revenue and commercial income due to smaller international sponsorship smaller match day revenue and kit deals .

Second PSG goal shouldn't be allowed because there's a foul. And the red card.... it wasn't a foul. but the referee as other agenda in mind. Lacazetti is right. it's 11v12
