Dembele promises to be '100% fit' for Champions League final

Ousmane Dembele has vowed to be 100% fit for Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League final against Arsenal.

PSG edged Bayern Munich 6-5 on aggregate in a thrilling semi-final contest to reach the showpiece for the second consecutive season, having lifted the trophy last season.

Dembele was a key figure in their treble-winning campaign of 2024-25, and has been just as instrumental this time around, netting three goals in the tie against Bayern.

He has scored in three consecutive Champions League appearances for PSG, a feat he last achieved in January/February 2025; the Frenchman has been directly involved in six goals (five goals, one assist) across his last three matches in the competition.

However, Dembele was withdrawn before the half-hour mark of PSG's last Ligue 1 fixture of the campaign, against Paris FC, last time out and has been receiving treatment for a calf issue.

Despite that, he is confident he will be on the pitch in Budapest on May 30.

"I'm doing very well. I had a slight scare against Paris FC, but I'm fine, and I'll be ready for the final," Dembele told French broadcaster RMC Sport.

"Will I be 100% for the final? Yes, yes, I think so, yes, I'll be ready. I have no doubt about it. I hope to be on the pitch on May 30.

"I've had so many minor scares or major injuries in my career, whether here at PSG or even before, especially with the big matches coming up, especially this final, I preferred to stop and, above all, not take any risks."

Dembele has scored 19 goals in all competitions this season (after the Club World Cup), a joint-team high, while he also tops the assist charts with 11.
