After weeks of arduous negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United look to have finally secured their man – Manuel Ugarte (23). L’Équipe and RMC Sport have now revealed the details of the transaction.

Ugarte joined PSG last summer from Sporting in a €60m deal, however, despite a promising start at the Parc des Princes, he quickly fell down the pecking order under Luis Enrique, and by the end of the campaign, he was playing a peripheral role. The arrival of João Neves from Benfica this summer was a clear signal that Ugarte did not have a future at PSG.

Whilst Les Parisiens were keen to offload the Uruguay international, they were not willing to sell at any price. The reigning Ligue 1 champions were not willing to make a loss on the midfielder. Ultimately, they will not make a loss on Ugarte, whose move to Manchester United is worth around €60m (€50 plus €10m in add-ons).

With the midfielder set to undergo his medical on Tuesday ahead of signing a five-year deal to become a Manchester United player, PSG have also succeeded in including a 10% sell-on clause into the deal.
