Unai Emery made some surprise selection decisions for Wednesday's 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid, as he left out both Angel Di Maria and Thiago Silva, a decision which angered both players' partners.
Jorgelina Cardoso was especially critical of the Basque coach and shared her thoughts on social media.
"Your effort plus your extra work plus your goals plus your assists plus the fact you're in your best form equals a place on the bench," she wrote.
"But apparently it's women who don't understand football.
"Come on Paris!"
Belle Silva, Thiago Silva's wife, had a comment of her own to make as well.
"Tactics? What tactics?" she wrote.
Neither of the players even made an appearance as a substitute in Wednesday night's match.
