Angel Di Maria had the last laugh on his return to Old Trafford as he inspired Paris Saint-Germain to a 2-0 win over Manchester United while being the subject of abuse and anger from the home supporters.
United's fans were on his back from the start, after he spent a season with the Premier League side but was unable to live up to expectations despite enjoying a bright start to life in England.
Di Maria arrived in Manchester after leaving Real Madrid in 2014 only to leave a year later for PSG with just four goals and an impressive 11 assists to his name in 32 appearances.
On Tuesday, Di Maria was shoved into a fence by Ashley Young, hurting his arm in the process. After getting back to his feet, he cupped his ear with his hand in an invitation to the home fans to intensify their whistling of him.
Later, he blew kisses to the stands and imitated drinking from a bottle that was hurled at him by a fan.

Man U fans are really shameless. Di Maria slapped them so hard that they will never forget in their life. Well done Di Maria!
