Digne sets French record with 12-year gap between first two World Cup appearances

At 23:00 Beijing time on June 23, the French national team announced their starting lineup for their second FIFA World Cup group stage match against Iraq. The 32-year-old Digne replaced Theo Hernandez in the starting XI.

According to Stats Foot, Digne is about to make his second FIFA World Cup appearance. His first World Cup match dates back to 2014, creating a 12-year gap between his first and second World Cup appearances—the longest interval in French national team history.
