Diomande: Joining Real Madrid was my childhood dream, thanks to Leipzig for making it happen

On August 6, Real Madrid officially announced that they had signed Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. The player himself talked about his views on the transfer and bid farewell to the club in an interview with RB Leipzig's official media.

Yan Diomande said: "I am incredibly grateful to RB Leipzig. A year ago, the club and management had full confidence in me, even though I had only played a few professional games at the time. They trusted me and gave me the opportunity to prove myself at the highest level of competition.  "

"I was able to gain a foothold in one of the best leagues in Europe, earned a spot in the Ivory Coast national team, and represented my country on the biggest stage of the World Cup. None of this would have been possible without RB Leipzig, and I will always be grateful.  "

"Joining Real Madrid was a childhood dream of mine, and I am especially grateful to RB Leipzig's management. Despite still being under contract, they facilitated this transfer. To the fans: Thank you very much for your tremendous support from the very beginning."
