Djurgården 1-4 Chelsea: Jackson nets brace as Blues have one foot in final

Chelsea have one foot in the Conference League final after cruising to a 4-1 win over Djurgarden in the first leg of their semi-final tie on Thursday. 

Match Report

Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke struck before the break, then sub Nicolas Jackson struck twice.

Sancho sidefooted Chelsea's deflected opener on 12 minutes.

And with the Blues looking comfortable, as well as menacing on the break, dangerman Enzo Fernandez fed the overlapping Madueke to slot a clever second goal just before the break.

Djurgarden threatened just twice in the first period, keeper Filip Jorgensen thwarting Tokmac Nguen in added time.

Chelsea brought on four first-choice Prem stars at the break.

And one of those, Nicolas Jackson, first profited from dreadful defending to make it 3-0, then showed delightful footwork before hammering home a superb fourth midway through the second period.

Sub Isak Alemayehu, 18, headed a fine reply for Djurgarden.

Chelsea brought on 16-year-old Reggie Walsh for his debut late on - and he almost scored spectacularly with his first touch.
